It was moved by Councilman Robt. Brown and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the bhird goading be by title only. Upon roll call vote gal six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and the motion visa declared carried. Upon roll call vote, all six Councilmen present voted in the :notion was declared carried. Protest ';I.P.A, Labor Diversion It was ::loved by Councilman Robt. Brown and seconded by Councilman Maroldo that the City Attorney be instructed to write to the proper authorities protesting the diversion of W.P.A. labor from the City" projects at the time best suited to the completion of certain parts of those projects. Norby Permit Granted It was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Robt. Brown that the per- mit requested by Peter Norby be granted. lotion carried. Olympic Piledriving Companyis Permit Denied It was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Sullivan, that inasmuch as the existing ordinances did not allow building construction such as requested by the Olympic Piledriving Co., the permit be denied. Upon roll call vote, all six Councilmen present voted in the affirrative and the motion was declared carried. Councilman Sullivan reported that Mr. Pete Chatos had spoken to him about a permit to build an addition at the rear of the Central Cafe, but a telephone call to Mr. Clinton dis- closed the fact that he had made other arrangements. Recess At t'nis time (8:30 P.1d.), it was moved by Councilman Robt. Brown and seconded by councilman Philip Brown that the Council recess for a few minutes. ?,lotion carried. Christina, and Councilmen, Wm. Lammers, Sr., Dennis Sullivan, Philip Brown, J.P. Maroldo, C. E. Richards, and Robt. Brown. loll Building Ordinance Proposed It visa moved by the Councilman Robt. Brown and seconded by Councilman 1.11aroldo that the City Attorney in conjunction with the Board of Fire Underwriters, dray up an entirely new building ordinance, incorporating such changes in the location of the first and second fire zones as are deemed advisable. Upon roll call vote all six councilmen present voted on the affirmative, and the motio was declared carried.
