purposes aforesaid.

The verbal application of vm. Buse for a License to operate a roller skating rink in
the City of Fort Townsend •ras taken up, and discussed briefly and referred to the Police and
License Committee.
Kr. Julius Pederson of the firm of Gould end Pederson being present in the gallery,
I.:ayOr Hirtzler asked if he did not wiah to address the Council at this time. L:r. Pedersen
came forward and stated that in reference to the matter of the tires for the Adams grader,
he would like a definite decision soon, as to whether the City wouliaccept; or reject, the tir
offered by his cor:pany. ::a;or Hirtzler stntod in reply that he, Mr. Pederson, mould be
definitely informed the follo*uing day.

granted. '%is :notion ,-,,as seconded by Councilman Lewis, and upon voice vote was declared
carried.
Councilman Sullivai. spoke of the poor impression caused by the dumping of garbage along
some of the lesser used streets of the City, and asked what action could be taken to elimina
this condition.
City attorney Daly explained that the ordinances of the City of Port 2o•araend provided
for a penalty of thirty days in jail or a fine of $100.00, or both, upon arrest and con-
viction of anyone so disposing of Garbage or rubbish.
The problem of the numerous dogs, mostly unlicensed, roaming the streets of the City,
vies discussed pro and con; but no definite action was taken at ;his time.

It appearing that there visa no further business to come before the Council at this time
it was moved by Councilman Robt. Brown and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the Council
do now adjourn. Upon vote of the members present the motion was declared carried.

that the granting of a license by the City did not exempt the licensee from civil action in
