PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, DECEMBER 27, 1938.
The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session
this 27th day of December, 1938, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, Liayor Hirtzler presiding.
ROLL CALL.
Officers and Members answering present to Roll Call mere as follows: Mayor H.L. Hirtzle il
City Clerk C.F. Christian, and Councilmen Fred G. Lewis, R. E. Ammeter, Peter J. Naughton,
And Robt. N. Brown. City Attorney W.J. Daly had asked to be excused because of other
business which required his immediate attention.
APPROVAL OF L:INUfES.
It was moved by Councilman Brown and seconded by Councilman Naughton that the
minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Lotion declared carried.
RLPCRTS OF OFFICERS.
The report of the 'dater Supt. shooing the flow of crater through the main line meters
for the creek ending December 19th, 1938, was presented, read and ordered filed.
The report of the Superintendent of slater Dept, for the month ending November 3ldt,
1938, was presented and summarized, and ordered referred tb the Finance Ccamnittee.

Frank Novelle re: Taxi License.
A communiogtmon from Frank Revello was presented and read as follows:

I herewith make application fora license to overate a "For Hire Car"
(Taxi) in the City of Port Townsend, for the ensuing year, 1939.

It was moved by Councilman Naughton and seconded by Councilman Amster that Llr.
Revello be granted a License upon payment, to the City Treasures, of the required sum;
in accordance with his request. Lotion declared carried.
REQUISITIONS.
Requisitions for supplies for the various departments were presented andread as
follovrs:

It was asked by Councilman Lewis that in considering these requisitions, the item
of Pipe Fitting Tools for the Later Dept be taken up separately.
It Sias then moved by Councilman Brown and seconded by Councilman Naughton that
the said requisitions with the exception of the aforementioned item be granted.

Upon Roll Call vote, all four Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and,the
motion was declared carried.
Consideration of Item "Pipe Fitting Tools"
It was moved by Councilman Naughton that the Item "Pipe Fitting Tools" as
requisitioned by the dater Dept. be accepted as written and that the department be permitte
to purchase said tools as they saw fit. Councilman Brown seconded this motion and un_on
Roll Call vote Councilmen Ammeter, Naughton and B�orm voted in the affirmative; and
Councilman Lewis in the negative and the motion was declared carried.
RESOLUTIONS.
Designation of ;l.A. Bugge as Agent for City.
At this time City Attorney i7.J. Daly presented to the City Clerk a form of
resolution which visa read as follows:
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED:

By the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that W.A. Bugge of said city
be, and he is hereby designated as Agent of the City of Port Townsend in all matters
connected with, or affected by, any project or projects heretofore sponsored by the City
og Port Townsend under the program of the Federal 117orks Progress Administration, and the
acts of said ';;.A. Hugge, in said capacity, on behalf of the City of Port Townsend, are
entitled to full faith and credit.r....f
ADOPTED by the City Council December 27th, 1938.
Approved by the Liayor December 27th, 1938.

It crss thereupon moved by Councilmen Naughton and seconded by Councilman Brown
that the foregoing resolution be adopted rind that the Mayor and the City Clei-k attach
their signatures thereto. Upon Roll Onil vote all four Councilmen present voted in the
affirmative and the motion visa declared carried.
