UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS.
Proposed Extension of Hadlock-Irondale Line.
(Councilman Naughton arrived at this time and took his seat in the Council)
Taking up the matter of extending the Hadlock-Irondale water main to Chimacum and
vicinity, Water Superintendent Lockhart presented a verbal report on the subject and stated
that since the burning of the Chimacum hotel, there was considerable agitation toward asking
the city to make such extension. Also, that the present mains in Irondale and Hadlock were
in such bad condition that they should either be replaced or abandoned, and that there was
enough surplus in the operating fund that with P.W.A. or W.P.A. assistance, it was entirely
feasable to rebuild the line. After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilman
Naughton and seconded by Councilman Ammeter that the City Water Department be granted au-
thority to consider and draw up plans to accomplish the said work and submit the said plans
to the city council. Upon roll call vote, all five councilmen present voted in the affirm-
ative and motion was declared carried.
ADJOURNMENT.
No further bAsiness appearing, upon motion of councilman Naughton, seconded by
councilman Lafferty, the council voted to adjourn.
