It was moved by Councilman Brown abd seconded by Councilman Naughton that the said per- mits be granted. Motion declared carried. COMMUNICATIONS. Occupational Disease Premiums Suspended. A circular letter from the Department of Labor and Industries, brought the advice that owing to a Superior Court decision invalidating the enforcement of the Occupational Disease Act., collection of premiums for such purpose is suspended until further notice. Motion declared carried. UIIFINISIED AND IIEVI BUSINESS. y' Renew Golf Grounds Lease. A petition for an extension of 10 years on the lcase.,o£'the City Golf Grounds, was i presented and read, as follows: Port Townsend, Washington, January 29th, 1938. �i To the Hon. Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Washington. The undersigned respectfully petitions your Iionovable Body for a ten year exten- sion on the lease vie are holding for the Townsend Golf Club Property. Vie find the present loess will expire approximately 1941 and in order to insure the buildings, vie must show a r, reasonable long life lease. Also, vie have spent considerable money for the interest of the City on this Club and we wish to continue its operation and improvement. Vie have had considerable difficulty at times in keeping the Club going but feel that the City would find it more difficult, and vie wish to carry out the stipulation of the deed, that it be used for golf and recreational purposes. Upon roll call vote, all four councilmen present voted in the affirm - ative, and motion was declared carried. Gasoline Bids. This being the date set for opening bids to furnish the City with gasoline for th J?. ensuing year, the bids submitted by the Shell Oil Company, Tidewater -Associated 011 Compar. Richfield Oil Company and the Union Oil Company were now opened and read, and the prices b were as follows: Name of Company Ethyl Standard 3rd Structure. (s;i! Motion declared carried. r Re -Convened, and Roll Call: The Council re -assembled at 8:45 p.m., and upon roll call, there were present Mayor H. L. Hfirtzler, City Attornej W. J. Daly, City Clerk C. F. Christian, and Councilmen Naughton, Brown, Lewis and lumneter. Gasoline Contract Awarded: It was moved by Councilman Ammeter and seconded by Councilman Naughton, that the bids of the Associated Oil Company and tho Union Oil Company to furnish the city with gas- oline, be accepted, and that delivery be made alternately by the two companies in periods of three months each. Upon Roll Call vote, all four Councilmen present voted in the of- firmative and motion visa declared carried. �11.,;_g. ADJOURNMENT.
