The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in gagular seas ion this
5th day of October, 1937, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall)
Mayor H. L. Hirtzler presiding.

Upon Roll Call those answering present were Mayor H. L. Hirtzler, City Attorney
W. J. Daly, City Clark C. F. Christian, and Councilmen Paul H. Sather, Fred G. Lewis, R. E
Ammeter, Peter Naughton, Robt. W. Brown and W. S. Lafferty.

Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Brown
that the said
claims be allowed and that the
Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to
draw warrants

COMMUNICATIONS.
Housing Act Bulletin.
The City Clerk reported receipt of Bulletin, stating "Procedure of Securing Loans
and Grants Under U.S. Housing Act of 1937" and that the same was on file for reference.
From Chamber of Commerce, Re: Pilotfs Dock.
A communication from the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce was presented and read
as follows:
Port Townsend, Washington, October 4, 1957
Honorable Mayor and City Council,
Port Townsend, Washington.
bentlemen:
We have been asked to investigate complaints registered by property owners rela-
tive to the dock constructed by the Pilotfs Association in the quarantine Basin.
We would like an expression from your honorable body as to whetger on not the pre
ent float conforms to the plans and specifications covering the construction of the dock.

Councilman Brown informed the Council that the Pilots Association had ordered recon-
struction of the said dock to comply with the wishes of the U.S. quarantine Department.
Water Line Right-of-way
across Fort Townsend.
The City Clerk reported receipt of easement granted by the G6vernment for water
line right -of way, with letter of transmission, as follows:

There is enclosed herewith one executed number of the Easement granted to the Cit
of Port Townsend, Washington, by the Secretary of War, for right-of-way to install, operate
and maintain a water pipe -line over and across the Fort 'Townsend Military Reservation.
