The CITY COUNCIL of the city of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session this the City Hall, 3rd day of August, 1937, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of :.:ayor H. L. From Chamber of Commerce: Cor„munication from the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce, relative to proposed special election, was presented and read, as follows: u. Port Townsend, "ashington, August 2, 1937 j Honorable Mayor and City Council, -, Port Townsend, PJashington. Gentlemen: There seems to be considerable apprehension manifested throughout the corn:amity as to the action you intend to take regarding the calling of a special election to provide funds for the purpose of maintaining the park, library and road program at their usual stan- dard of efficiency. We would like to know what action you expect to take, if any, upon this important sub- ject. We also wish to assure you that vie stand ready to assist in any such election, at whi h the people can express their wishes in reference to these questions. For several years the e special elections have been held, and vie have always given our whole -hearted assistance in getting out a representative vote. ',Je stand ready to do the same thing this year.
