MINUTES READ AND APPROVED. The Minutes of the regular session of February 16, 1937,•were read and approved as read. BILLS AND CLAIMS. Company Equipment Purchase 83.33 Total ............................. 63s.73 It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Brown that the said claims.be allowed and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same. Upon Roll Call vote, all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion visa declared carried. Unapproved Claims. Shell Oil Company. The claim of the Shell Oil Company for 85 gals. of gasoline, priced at 16� per gallon, was not approved because it appeared that the gasoline had been delivered to the city before the advance in the price of gasoline. It was moved by Councilman Lewis and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the said claim be tabled until further information was available for probable adjustment of the price. Herington Truck Driver 99.64 Total 209.28 Wesley Smith Warrant: The Clerk further reported that he had issued, under date of I -larch lst, 1937, a warrant in favor of Wesley Smith, State Examiner, in the amount of $13.00, which claim had been approved by the Council at the session of February 16th. Signed Gasoline Contracts. The Clerk also reported that signed gasoline contracts had been received from the Standard oil Company and the Tidewater Associated Oil Company. Chief of Police Monthly Report. The report of the Chief of Police for, -the month of February, 1937, was presented, read and ordered filed. Main Line Meter Readings. The Report of the Water Supt., showing the flow of water through the main line meters, for the period ending March lst, 1937, were presented, read and ordered filed. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES. Building Committee. Councilman Ammeter of the building Committee, reported that at the request of the building caretaker, members of the connittee had made an inspection of the condition of the roof and had requested Mr. With of the Sheet Metal Works to present a cost proposal for the repairs considered absolutely necessary at this time. BUILDING PERMITS. Applications for Building Permits were presented, read, and disposed of as follows: From E. A. Poe, to -wit: Port Townsend, Washington, February 23, 1937 711 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Washington. Gentlemen:- Permission is requested to erect a frame garage on my property at 935 Pierce St. at an estimated cost of $30.00. Respectfully submitted, E. A. Poe 1
