The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session this 2nd day of February, 1937, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor H. L. Hirtzler presiding. ROLL CALL. Upon Roll Call, those answering present were Mayor H. L. Hirtzler, City Attorney W. J. Daly, City Clerk C. F. Christian, and Councilmen Fred G. Lewis, R. E. Ammeter, Robt. W. Brown and W. S. Lafferty; Councilmen Tony DeLeo and Peter Naughton arriving later in the session. MINUTES READ AND APPROVED. The Minutes of the regular session of January 5, 1937, were read and approved as read. NO QUORUM JANUARY 19/37. No meeting of the Council was held on January 19, 1937, no quorum being present. Port Tdvrnsend, Washington. { S{ To the Chairman and Members of the Library Board: I hereby submit a summary of the work of the Library for 1936. Unusual expenses were }f necessary on furnAce and electric pump, the latter part of January, same being out of com- 4 ' •' durin which time very cold weather prevailed. Library was mission for more than a week, g y kept open however, except for Saturday evening. With this exception and the usual holidays wa were open each day of the year. 'a The ballot to raise necessary funds by levy, to carry on the Library for 1937, was in- eluded with the general election held on Sept. 8th, resulting in a favorable vote, 845 for, 83 against.
