Friends:
I want to take this opportunity of thanking the people of Port Townsend for
their expression of confidence in electing me Mayor of the city. I want them to know that
I intend to respect that confidence by doing everything I can to make this a better place
in which to live. To do this I must have the full cooperation of the entire city council
They, too, are elected by the people to serve them to sea that the entire community benefit ,
not any particular person or a certain part of the city.
There will be no ruthless changes in the present personell of the city's employees.
