The report of the City 'Treasurer for the month of November, 1936, was presented, read and neforred to the Committee on Finance and Claims. Water Superintendent's November Report. The report of the Water Superintendent for the month of iovember, 1936, vras pre- sented, read and referred to the Committee of Water and Drainage. Main Line Meter Readings. The report of the hater Superintendent, showing the flow of water through the main line meters for the period ending December 9, 1936, was presented, read and ordered filed. Banging Traffic Signal Light. In relation to the installation of the traffic signal light at the intersection of Water and Taylor Streets, City Engineer Campbell reported that it vras found th¢tnthe'•.: supporting wires could not be anchored to the buildings because the bolt'fastenings'in the buildingowalls would not support the weight of the signal apparatus. He further reports that an engineer of the Puget Sound Pourer & Light Co. would be in the city within a few days and would make a survey and report upon the feasibility of attaching the supporting cable to the Company's poles. The matter was referred to the Police and License Committee and the City Attorney. j. BUILDING PERMITS. r Applications for Building Permits were presented, read, and disposed of as follows: From 7!m. Trager, to -writ: Port Townsend, Washington, Dec. 5th, 1936. To the honorable Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Washington. Gentlemen: - Permission is requested to excavate and melee a garage in the basement of my dwelling house at 806 Cass Street. Motion declared carried. C 01?7;UN ICAT IONS . E. M. Stockand's Resignation. For the information of the Council, the Clerk presented a letter submitted to the Mayor by City 'Treasurer E. I:. Stockand, tender and read a copy of ing his resignation as of January let, 1937, as follows, to -writ: Port Townsend, Washington, December 15, 1936 To the Honorable Mayor and City Councilmen, City of Port Townsend, Washington. Gentlemen: I desire to tender my resignation from the office of City �x•easurer of the City of Port Townsend, effective January 1, 1937 for the following reasons: the elected officers of the city shall tape office The law presides that newly Jan - first Tuesday in January which moans that in 1937 they would assume office on Jan- on the 5th.
