REQUISITIONS.
The Street Department presented a requisition for the following supplies:
Two sets Scarifier tooth; 500 ft. - 6" wood pipe for culverts.
It was moved by Councilman Naughton and seconded by Councilman Sather that the
said requisition be granted. 11otion declared carried.
i,** Councilman Sather, requested and was granted further time to report on 'Gob: Welchrs
petition for vacation of part 6f a street in the Eisenbeis Addition.
On Fir Street Sidewalk:
Councilman Sather reported that the matter of providing a safe path along Fir St.
from Fort Worden to the vicinity of the school grounds, was being taken care of.
ORDINANCES AIM RESOLUTIONS.
Emergency Ordinance for Industrial Insurance.
The Ordinance proposing an emergency appropriation for industrial insurance for
the Police and Highway Departments - introduced at t he regular session of November 17th,
and read in full for the first reading - was now taken up for further consideration.
The ordinance visa again read in full for the second reading, and it was moved by Council-
man Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman Naughton that the 3rd reading be by title only.
Upon Roll Call veto, all six councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion visa
declared carried.
3rd Reading and Pasaare.
The City Clerk then road the proposed ordinance by title only, for the third
reading whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman Naughton
that said ordinance do now pass. Upon Roll Call vote, all six councilmen present voted
in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
Copy of Ordinance.
The following is a full and true copy of the said ordinance as
passed at this session by the Council, approved by the i�,ayor Dec. 2nd, 1936, and published
in the Port Townsend Leader December 3rd, 1936, to -wit:
ORDINANCE 110. 1076.
AN ORDINANCE providing for the immediate appropriation of money for the Current Expense
Fund and for the Street and Iiighway Fund of the City of Port Townsend for the year 1936,
for the purpose of paying and discharging industrial insurance premiums due the State of
Washington, accrued and to accrue during the State of Washington, and declaring an emergen-
cy. VIHEREAS, it anpears to the City Council by reason of the increase in premium rate for
industrial insurance for persons employed by the Cii:y of Port Townsend in the Police De-
partment, and in the Highway Department, that the amounts budgeted for that purpose are ex-
hausted, and,
VIHEREAS, such increase in premium rate could not have been foreseen at the time of the
adoption of the official budget for the year 1935, and,
'llheroas, the payment of such industrial insurance premiums is a mandatory expenditure
required by law, therefore,
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That there be, and hereby is, appropriated for expenditure during the year
1936, the sum of $130.00 for the purpose of paying industrial insurance premiums due the
State of Washington for the year 1936, as follows:
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND , Police Department ...................... $75.00
STREET AIM HIGHWAY FUND ........................................... 55.00
Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized to dray emergency

warrants upon the foregoing funds not exceeding the respective amounts upon presentation
of properly approved vouchers,
Section 3. That this ordinance be published once in the Port Townsend header, to be
in force and take effect as provided by law.

UIFI11ISHED AND NEW BUSINESS.
Business Certificate.
The City Clerk informed the Council that application forms had been received fnom
State Tax Commission for renewal of Certificate of Registration and stated that he would
take care of the matter and secure a receipt for the necessary fee, the fee being $1.00.
Bond Deal Closed.
City Attorney Daly informed the Council that the Bond Deal, extending the time of
payment of certain of the refund bonds and reducing the rate of interest on same, had been
comsummated; that a call had been made for the eight bonds not included in the agrooment
and that three of the said eight bonds had been redeemed and cancelled.

the Council voted to adjourn.
