Ywarsky, to -wit: A communication from A. H. Ywarsky, relative to collec- tion of Truck licenses, was presented and read, as follows: Port Townsend, 'Washington, November 17, 1936. Honorable Mayor and City Council, City of Port Townsend, Gentlemen: - In the interest of citizens owning and operating trucks in the "City Limits" of Port Townsend, we desire to protest this ordinance for its non -enforcement. There are several known cases of persons operating trucks in the City of Port Town send, who have failed to procure the required license. we have renewed our licenses in goo faith, believing that the law was fair and just; however, it now appears that the said ordi- nance cannot be enforced. We kindly request that this matter of city license be settled once and for all; either it be d law governing all concerned, or let it be declared null and void. FOR THE TRUCK 01,7NERS. A. H. Ywarsky, Representative. The said Communication was referred to the Police and License Committee. REQUISITIONS. For Street and Highway Dept. It appearing that a deficit would appear in the 1936 budget for the item of State Industrial Insurance, a proposed emergency ordinance entitled "An Ordinance providing for th immediate appropriation of money for the Current Lxpense Fund and for the Street and Highway Fund of the City of Port Townsend for the year 1936, for the purpose of paying and dischargi industrial insurance premiums due the State of Washington, accrued and to accrue during the year 1936, and declaring an emergency", was introduced and read in full for the first read- ing, and in accordance with State statutes, laid over for final consideration at the next re ular session. Campbell, the Pennsylva nia Salt L:fg Co., solicited a renewal of their contract to supply the city with liquid Chlo- rine for the year beginning Jan. 1st, and submitted the following proposed sales agreement, to -wit: City of Port Townsend, Its Successors and Assigns, hereby purchases from Pennsylvania Salt Manufacturing Company of Washington, Tacoma, 'flash., and Pennsylvania Salt Mfg Company of 'Nashington, its Successors and Assigns, hereby sells to City of Port Townsend during per- iod from December 31, 1936 to December 31, 1937, inclusive, under following conditions Product ................. Liquid Chlorine (Liquified Chlorine Gas) quantity ............... Buyerls entire requirements (;uality ................ Seiler's standard grade for water purification Shipments ..............
