The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, -iiashington, met in regular session this 20th day of October, 1936, at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor George Bangerter presiding. ROLL CALL. Officers and Members of the Council answering present to Roll Call, were Mayor George Bangerter, City Attorney 171. J. Daly, City Clerk C. F. Christian, and Councilmen Win. Lammers Sr., il. S. Lafferty, H. L. Hirtzler, Sam McGee and Peter Naughton. MINUTES OF OCT. 5 and 6 READ AND APPROVED. The Minutes of the Statutory or Budget Session of the October 5th, and the regu- lar session of Oct. 6th, were read, and each were approved as read. REPORTS OF OFFICERS. Liayor Signed WPA Project. mayor Bangerter reported that he had signed the papers in the matter of the VIPA Project covering about ;?25,000 for Street Improvements. Coyne Final Payment. The City Cleric reported that under date of Oct. 13th, he had drawn a warrant upon the Olympic Gravity ilater System Construction Fund in favor of Jas. H. Coyne, in the amount of $6162.22, as the full and final payment of his construction contract. The records showing that the total net cost of the project amounted to $61,916.05. Traffic Equipment Coming. The City Clerk further reported that he had received acknowledgment of receipt of order for traffic control equipment and that it would be shipped without delay. Treasurerts September Report. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of September, 1936, was presented, read, and referred to the Finance Committee. Water Supt. September Report. The report of the Hater Superintendent for the month of September, 1936, was pre- sented, read, and referred to the "later Committee. Main Line Meter Readings. The reports of the Plater Superintendent showing the flow of water through the main line meters for the period ending October 12, 1936, were presented and read and ordere filed. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTM-S. Finance Committee.
