with the old main running through the fair grounds, which would give them crater service.
After some further discussion, it was moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by Council-
man Laffarty that the Water Superintendent make arrangement to furnish water to the fair
grounds. Motion declared carried.
Budget Provision to Protect hater Rights.
City Attorney Daly brought up the matter of provision in the 1937 budget for the
protection of the Cityts crater rights, in that the Supervisor of Hydraulics had been assure,
that the city was interested in holding and developing the rights applied for. After some
±x2ams.1 discussion of the matter, it was informally agreed that the sum of $1000.00 should
be placed in the 1937 budget to prosecute the filing and development of the said rights.
Adjournment.
Upon motion of Councilman Hirtzler, seconded by Councilman Naughton, the Council
voted to adjourn.

Upon Roll Call, the following councilmen and officers reported present:
City Attorney 71. J. Daly, City Clark C. p. Christian, and Councilmen Peter Naughton, Wm.
Lammers Sr., Paul H. Sather, H. L. Hirtzler and Sam IdcGee.
MINUTES APPROVED.
The minutes of the regular session of September 1, 1936, were read
and approved as read.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS.
Business Tax Remittance.
The City Clerk reported that under date of September 12th, he had drawn a warrant
upon the Olympic Gravity Water Fund in the amount of $225.08, in payment of State Business
Tax upon Plater Dept. Receipts for the months of July and August, 1936.
Election Date Request.
The Clerk further reported that he had made written request to the County author'.
ties to set the date for the City Primary: Election, for the 3rd day of November, 1936, as
directed by the Council
Treasurerts July Report.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of August, 1936, was presented,
read and referred to the Finance Committee.
Water Suntts Report.
The report of the 'dater Superintendent for the month ending August 31, 1936, was
presented, read and referred to the Water Committee.
Main Line Meters.
The report of the Water Superintendent showing the flow of water through the mal
line meters, for the period ending September Bth, was presented, read and ordered filed.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES.
Campbell on Iiadlock-Irondale Water Supply.
Upon request of Councilman Lammers, Water Supt. Campbell made a report on the
Hadlock-Irondale water service to the effect that the supply was better than usual, that
the pressure eras higher and that practically all patrons were now obtaining water. In
the case of Mr. Shold, he stated that sholdts service pipe was of considerable length and
of small size, which made it difficult to force crater up to point of dse. Mr. Campbell
further reported that the pressure had been raised and that by spring, everybody should
have good water service.
Coffelt-Drake Use of Water.
Councilman Lammers, reporting gerbally, stated that he had personally ascertains
that crater was being used during the construction of the Coffelt and Drake dwelling houses
and asked Water Supt. Campbell if the city was receiving pay for same. Ism. Campbell sta-
ted that he had no knowlddge of such payments. After some discussion, it was moved by
Councilman Naughton and seconded by Councilman McGee that the Water Supt. check up on the
matter and report his findings to the City Council. Motion declared carried.
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS.
Ordinance re: Ward Boundary.
The Ordinance to change the boundary between the First and Third Wards, introduc,
at the previous session and read in full for the first reading, was now taken up for furth
consideration.
2nd and 3rd headings.
It eras moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by CouncilmanNaughton that the first reading be considered the 2nd reading and that the third reading
be by title only. Upon roll call vote, all five councilmen present voted in the affirms
tive and motion was declared carried.
3rd Reading and Passage.
The City Clerk then read the ordinance by title only for t
third reading, whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hortzler and seconded by Councilman
Naughton that said ordinance do now pass. Upon Roll Call vote, all five councilmen pre
ent voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
