RE: REFUND OF B014D PREMIUM.
At the request of the City Attorney, the following excerpt from a letter address-
ed to E. M. Stockand, City-reasurer, was presented and read, to -wit:
Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company.
Seattle, Washington, August 11, 1936.
Mr. E. M. Stockand, City treasurer,
Port Townsend, Washington:
Dear Sir: -
After having discussed the question of the return premium on the unexpired por-
tion of the 'Treasury Bond with Mr. Perry, we are both of the opinion that the city is anti-
tled to the return premium applicable to the unearned portion of the term of Hattie E.Dobbs
I believe the correct procedure will be to correspond with the agent who wrote tbLs
business and if you are unable to convince this agency that you are entitled to this return
premium it will undoubtedly be necessary for you to write to Mr. Sullivan, the Insurance
Commissioner of the State of Iashington, in order that he may take action on the case.
It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Naughton that the said
matter be referred to the City Attorney. Motion declared carried.
