The City Treasurerrs Report covering the month of. June, 1936, was prosented, read and referred to the Finance Committee. June Report of Chief of Police. The report of the Chief of Police for the month of June, 1936, visa presented,read and ordered filed. Main Line Meter Readings - Water System. The report of the Water Superintendent showing the flow of water through the mail line meters for the period ending June 30, 1936,.was presented, read and ordered filed. Gentlemen: Your Committee, on Water and Drainage, to whom was referred the nether of Watc Superintendentrs reports for the months of April and May, 1936, would respectfully report as follows: Find same to agree with office records. In the matter of the Mosely tap, which matter was referred to to the Water Com- mittee and the City Engineer, City Engineer Campbell reported verbally that the 'tap would be properly placed after the construction contract visa completed. Adelma Beach Petition. Reporting on the petition of Fred J. Simcoa and other for extension of a water main to Adelma or xeymea Reach, Councilmen Lafferty and Lammers and City Engineer Campbell expressed themselves as unfavorable to the project at this time. A motion by Councilman Sather and seconded by Councilman Hirtzler that final.decision in the matter be delayed was declared carried. Roosevelt Street Extension. No action was taken on the Roosevelt Street petition as 11 is recognized that this project is dependent upon the existence of a balance after the othr projects are completed. BUILDING PERMITS. Applications for Building Permits were presented, read, and disposed of as follows: From Ben Aldrich, to -wit: Port Townsend, Washington, July 7, 1936 To the Honorable Hayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Plash. Gentlemen: Permission is requested to make general repairs to the duelling houses situate at 905 and 917 Franklin Street, at an estimated cost of $300.00 divided about evenly be- tween the two houses. A communication from the National Paper rroducts Company, re: auditing, and the:reply of the City Clark, were presented and read, as follows: From the National Paper Products Company, to -wit: San Francisco, Calif., June 2, 1936 City of Port Townsend, Port Townsend, Washington. Gentlemen: Our auditors, Messrs. Lybrand, Ross Bros. and Montgomery, are making their regu lar examination of our accounts.
