Upon roll call there were W esent, City Attorney W.J. Daly, Deputy City Clerk C.F.
Christian, Jr., andCouncilmen Wm. Lammers, Sr., Harry Hirtzler, Sam McGee, Tony De Leo
and P.J. Naughton.
Improvement of Road to Fort Worden (continued)
It was now moved by Councilman Hirtzler, seconded by Councilman De Leo, that the
City Clerk, in conjunction with the City Engineer, immediately make application to the
State Highway Dep rtment, for an allocation of funds under the jurisdiction of the
U.S. Bureau of Public Roads, to be employed in the extension and improvement of State
Road No, 9 from Water and Monroe streets, by the most feasible route, to Fort Vicr den.
Upon roll call, all councilmen present voted in the affirmative and the motion was
declared carried.
Repairs to Fire Alarm System
It Ives moved by Councilman DeLeo, seconded by Councilman Naughton, that the Fire
Chief be authorized and directed to immediately proceed with the repair of the fire alarm
system of the city to thelimit of funds available. Motion carried.
Deputy City Clerk
The oath of office of C.F. Christian, Jr., ad deputy city clerk, under appointment of
his father C.F. Christian, City Clerk, who is temporarily incapacitated thru illness,
was received and ordered filed.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion by Councilman Hirtzler, seconded by Councilman De Leo, the council,
at 9:15 o'clock P.M., Adjourned.
