Increase in Industrial Insurance Rate:
The City Clerk reported receipt of official order from the Department of Labor an
Industries, establishing a new rate of .02F per workman hour for Industrial Insurance, for
employees of the Street, Police and water Departments, effective January lst, 1936. The
former rate was .008.
BUILDING PERMIT
From A. F. Brunson.
Application for building permit, from A. F. Brunson, was -present
and read as follows:

TO the Honorable Mayor and City Council,
Port Tovnsend, wash.,
Gentlemen:
P rmission -1s requested to take down the old outbuildings on my premises at 1119
Blaine Street, to erect a garage and other shed in place thereof, to add a porch to the
dwelling house and to reshingle the house. Cost is estimated at $100.00.

It was moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman DeLeo that the said per
mit be granted. Motion declared carried.
REQUISITIONS.
Requisitions for supplies were presented, read, and disposed of as follows:
For the Water Department, to -wit:
L5 gals, motor oil; Tablets to be used for delinquent lists.
Receipt books to be used for Irondale and Hadlock collections.
For the Engineer's "ept. to -writ:
1 axe
For the Clerk's Dept., to -wit:
60 copies Port Townsend Leader, containing Annual Report
50 - 12V stamped envelopes for mailing copies of Annual +report.
For Engineer's office, to -wit:
Request that a telephone be installed in the Engineer's office during the construction
period, to be paid for out of the construction fund.
It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Sather that the
said requisitions be granted. Upon Roll Call vote, all seven ciuncilmen voted in the af-
firmative and motion was declared carried.
UNFINISHED AND NEN BUSINESS.
Lloyd Street Lease.
The City Clerk reported that t:r. A. H. Lloyd had paid the City treasurer for a
renewal for one year of the street lease in effect last year and had requested the Clerk
to make a verbal application for him, for a renewal of the said lease, the same being for
a part of Holcomb Street at the easterly end of same.
It was moved by Councilman Naughton and seconded by Councilman Sather that the said
application be granted for a renewal of the lease. Motion declared carried.
police Patrol Car Bids.
This being the time set for the opening of proposals to furnish the City with a
Police Patrol Car, the Mayor declared the same to be now in order.
Proposals were presented by the following firms:

Specifications: The entire back seat is readily removed, throwing the rear passen
ger compartment and rear luggage compartment into a single, unobstructed space of 110 cubic
