The park Budget was next considered and it was moved by Councilman Naugh ton and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the item of salary for caretaker be reduced

Relative to the per diem, for labor, Street Budget, it was moved by
Councilman Naughton and seconded by Councilman Laf+erty that the rate for all labor be set P
at 50¢ poll hour. c;otion declared carried. `

The following changes in the Street Budget, were all made by unanimous consent without
vote, to -wit: The salary of the Street Supt, was sot at .;;;110.00 per month, or 71265.00 for�-

seconded by Councilman Naughton that the City Attorney be directed to dray up a resolution
creating a separate street fund for all Street Department work, assigning thereto all gaso
line funds credited to the city from the State Gas Tax funds, together with receipts from
Truck and auto licenses and street leases and also, the tax receipts from a 2.50 mill tax
levy. Upon Roll Call, all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion wa
declared carried.
Street Lighting Budget:
It eras moved by Councilman Naughton and seconded by Council-
man Hirtzler that the street lighting budget be reduced from $2200.00 to $1800.00.
Motion declared carried.
Insnection of -Accounts:
It was moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by Counciman
Naughton that the item of Compensation of State Examiner be reduced from $450.00 to $250.0 .

'Taking up the water dept. budget, it was moved by Councilman
Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman Naughton that item of Stater Superintendent be changed
to 'Pater Superintendent and ex-officio City Engineer. Upon Roll Call all six Councilmen
present voted in the affirmative and rn6tion was declared carried.
Salary:
Under: the -ltem•:of Salary, ':inter Superintendent, 1t vras then moved .by Council-
man Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman Lafferty to fix the said salary at $2000.00 Der ye
provided that it combines the positions of 'hater Superintendent and ex-officio City Engine
Upon Roll Call vote, Councilmen DeLeo, Lafferty, Lammers, and Hirtzler voted in the affirm
ative and Councilmen Naughton and McGee in the negative. Motion declared carried.
Other changes:
By unanimous consent, without vote, the following changes were made i
the water dept. budget, to -wit: Reducing the salary of the item, repair man, from $1320.00
to 1$1200.00 per year; reducing the item of Clages, Labor, from w800.00 to $500.00; reducing
the item, Material, Supplies, Repairs and Replacements from F:2000.00 to $1000.00, and to
strike out the item of Tools and Equipment, 475.00.
City Engineer, :;eater Dept:
Further, by unanimous consent without vote, the item of
.$2000.00 for salary of :Engineer, scot. Water Department, was stricken out, and the item of
7ageg, Chainmen, was reduced from .?250.00 to j160.00.
General Obligation Bonds:
'Faking up the budgets for General Obligation Indebtedness,
it was moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the levy for
Bond Redemption, 1st Issue Refund Bands, be stricken out. P::otion declared carried.
To Confirm Changes:
It eras moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by Councilmen
Lafferty that all changes made by unanimous agreement witout vote, be hereby adopted and
confirmed. Notion declared carried.
Ordinances to confirm:
It was moved by Coun^.ilman Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman
DeLeo that the City Attorney and the City Clerk be directed to prepare the necessary ordi-
nances confirming the said budgets and to fix the required tax levies. Motion declared
carried.
Hearing continued:
It was moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman
McGee that this hearing now be continued to Tuesday evening, October Sth, 1935, the regular
session of the City Council. Motion declared carried.
