Ordinance Fails to Pass:
It was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman r��x+
Lafferty that said ordinance do now pass. Upon Roll Gail vote, Councilmen Hirtzler, Deleo, t, �r�,�``�:m
Naughton, Lafferty and Latmners voted in the affirmative and Councilman McGee in the negative

entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Port Townsend declaring an emergency and appropria-

II The Clerk read the proposed ordinance in full for the first reading and it was then
laid over to the next regular session in accordance with State laws.

Pan -Co -Vesta Building condemned.
Councilman Hirtzler brought up the matter of the dangerous condition of the old •X •'n'>s{rcM1n,'i� ,
i" Pan -Co -Vesta building situate on the Washington Street grade, presumed to be the property {rT '�: a �•
!, of ;drs. A. F. Harned, n that in its prcaent condition it was a serious fire menace ands
hang-out at -night for boys and that it should be abated. It was then moved by Councilman uJ I ~
1' Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman lleLeo that the building be declared a nuisance and that
Ii the fire hazard be abated; and,.that the City Clerk be instructed to notify the reputed owner j) i
li of the action of the Council. Lotion declared carried.
