We feel that the revenues the City of Port Townsend will receive from the construction
of a new pipe line will be greatly increased.
The foregoing petition bears the signature of ninety-four persons or firms and same
are hereby made a part of these minutes the same as though set out here in full and referen
is hereby made to the said petition for a list of the said petitioners.
This petition was referred to the Water Committee.
Planning Board Terms of Members.
Chairman John C. Phillips of the City Planning Board requested that the Mayor des
ignate the terms of office of the members of the Commission, who were named at a prior ses-
sion of the council, and taking notice of the request, Mayon Bangerter designated the terms
of office as follows:
One Year Term Charles C. Bartlett.
One Year Term Schuyler B. Edwards
Two Year 'Perm E. Morris Starrett
Three -tear Term James H. Coyne
Four Year Term H. N. Simpson
Five Year Term John C. Phillips
Six Year Term Harry A. Cotton.
It was moved by Councilman Hirtzler and seconded by Councilman DeLeo that the said ap-
pointments be approved andconfirmed. Motion declared carried.
Planning Commission wants cooperation.
City Attorney Laly stated that he was present
at the last meeting of the Commission and he brought the message to the Council that the
Commission desired to cooperate with the Council in every way and that the Commission would
give the council full cooperation if they were informed from time to time of the wishes of
the Council.
A Proposed Street Plan.
Councilman Sather presented a proposed street surfacing plan,
which, he sated, had been worked out by himself and Councilman DeLeo sitn the assistance of
City Engineer Campbell, Councilman Sather naming the streets to be so surfaced.
To Present Plans and Appropriate Funds.
It was then moved by Councilman Sather and
seconded by Councilman DeLeo that the City Clerk be directed to post the plans and to Bend
the said plans to the Highway Department and that the City appropriate $1,000.00 to match
$10,000.00 from the State Highway Department.
Daly Protests: City Attorney Laly called the attention of the Council to the fact
that eyiEf� ah-recently passed a resolution to the effect that all moneys received from the
State or from other sources than tares should be used for street maintenance. However,
upon a call for the question and a roll call vote, all seven councilmen voted in favor of
the motion and motion was declared carried.

Adjournment:
Upon motion of Councilman Sather, seconded by Councilman Lafferty, the
Council voted to adjourn.

and list of streets included, and for that reason the City Clerk is unable to record same
in these minutes.
Omission, under communications:
Councilman McGee submitted an unsigned letter, the letter
being addressed to Councilman McGee, and requested that it be road by the City Clerk. Coun
oilman Lafferty asked if the communication was signed and upon being informed that it visa
not, it was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Sather that the Council
ignore the letter and that it be returned to Councilman McGee. Upon a viva voce vote, the
motion was declared carried, Councilman McGee voting in the negative.
