THE CITY Cal NCIL of the City of
Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular
session this
2nd day of July, 1935, at 8:00 otclock
p.m., in�,the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayox
George Bangerter presiding.

Upon the Library Fund, to -wit:

It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Lammers that the said
claims be allowed and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon
the proper funds in payments of same. Upon Roll Call vote all six Councilmen present voted
in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
Campbell Salary Claim:
The claim of T. W. Campbell in the amount of $150.00, upon the
Olympic Gravity Water Fund for salary for the month of June, which claim was filed with the
City Clerk after the Finance Committee had completed their audit of June claims, was now pr
sented and read. Mayor Bangerter asked City Attorney Daly if the claim could be legally
paid and Mr. Daly referred the Mayor to an opinion from the Attorney General's office, who
ruled that it could not legally be paid until an appropriation by emergency ordinance had
duly been made.
It appearing that the sums of $20.00 and $100.00, in the Olympic gravity Water Fund an
the Current Expense Fund were available for salary of City Engineer,it was moved by Council
man Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Lammers that warrants be drawn in favor of Engineer
T. W. Campbell in the amount of $20.00 upon the Olympic Gravity Water Fund and in the amoun
of $100.00 upon the Current Expense Fund.
Councilman Sather arrived during discussion of this matter and upon roll call vote, al
seven Councilmen voted.in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
