The CITY COUNCIL of the City
of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session this
4th day of June, 1935, at 8 o'clock
p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, Council

It was moved by Councilman
Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Lammers
that the said

claims be allowed and that the
Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants up-
on the proper funds in payment
of same. Upon roll call vote, Councilmen Lafferty, Lammers
Sather, Hirtzler, DeLeo and Naughton
voted in the affirmative and Councilman McGee in the
negative. Motion declared
carried.

Re: Sales Tax.
The City
Clerk reported that he had been advised that
the State sales
tax applied on purchases madefor
the Water Department of the city, but not
on purchases
for other departments.

State of Washington, Regular Session, 1935. This bill was approved by the Governor on Liar.
11, 1935, and as I understand it, will become effective June 13, 1935. This new law pro-
vides for the appointment of Planning Commissions, defines the method of appointment of the
