Lease granted Y. V. and C. H. Pack.
Petition from C. H. Peck for renewal of lease of
certain streets, was presented and read, as follows:
Port Townsend, Wash., October 4, 1934
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council,
Port Townsend, Wash.
Gentlemen:
Application is hereby made for a renewal of my lease covering that part of
McPherson Street between the State Hoghway and 4th Street; that part of 4th Street between
McPherson and Thomas Streets and that part of Fourth Street ( a dead end) between McPher-
son Street and the easterly boundary of National City Addition; providing, however, that
4th Street shall not be wholly closed but shall be kept open for limited traffic.
I have paid to the City treasurer the sum of $2.50, being the amount set for the
lease for the past year.

It was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Lammers that the said ap-
plication be granted. Motion declared carried.
In the matter of the proposed reduction in second hand license fees, it was moved by
Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Smith that the City Attorney prepare ana0r-
dinance amending the present Ordinance by reducing the license fee from $25.00 to $10.00
per year. Motion declared carried.

Fort Townsend Right-of-wty:
In the matter of a sight -of -way for the city pipe line
across the old Fort Townsend Military Reservation, which matter was brought before the
Council by a communication from Col. Mitchell of Fort Warden, it was moved by Councilman
Lammers and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the City Attorney and other proper aughor•
ities of the city, be authorized and instructed to begin negmtiations toward securing a
right-of-way across the said Military Reservation for the city 'a water supply line. Upon
Ro;.l Call vote all four councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declares
carried.

Upon motion of Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Lammers, Coun-
cil voted to adjourn.

6th day of November, 1934, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Councilman Wm. Lammers, Mayor pro ten;., presiding.

Upon Roll Call there were present City Attorney W. J. Daly, City Clerk C.
F. Christian, and Councilmen W. B. Smith, 17. S. Lafferty, 17m. Lammers and Paul H. Sather;
Councilman Sam McGee arriving later in the session.
MINUTES APPROVED.
It was moved by Councilman Sather and seconded by Councilman Smith
that the minutes of the regular session of Oct.`16, 1934, be approved as written. Motion
declared carried.
