Slayton, to -wit: Port Townsend, Wash., July::27th, 1934 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council., Port Townsend, Wash. Gentlemen:- Permission is requested to erect a frame dwelling house on my property at 3rd and Grant Street, Block 292, Eisenbeis Add., at an estimated cost of $1000.00 Respectfully submitted, H. 0. Slayton From Dan Buchillo, to -wit: Port Townsend, Wash., July 25th, 1934 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Wash. Gentlemen: - Permission is requested to erect a frame cottage on the property at the S.E. corner of Monroe and Roosevelt Sts, (Block 19, Plummer Add.) at an estimated coat of $200. for materials. Slow It was moved by Councilman Welch and seconded by Councilman Sather that the said permit be granted. Motion declared carried. COMYUNICATIONS. Washington Municipal Bulletin. The City Clerk reported receipt of a circular letter from the Association of Wash• ington Cities to the effect that a bidder could quote a discount of not more than 15% belor the regular code prices on supplies to be furnished the city, and further that Municipali- ties were not subject to N.R.A. codenprovisions in the conduct of municipal functions and activities. Said circular letter was ordered filed. J Valuations for 1934. Upon Roll Call vote all six councilmen present voted in the of- �rnwa Rnx� firmative and motion was declared carried. �` ` t� Inquiry to Highway Department: Fi ttI{sF Relative to the purchane of the Traffic Strip paint, vtSf� t� * there was some discussion as to the best procedure to reimburse the the Highway Dept. for the paint used on the highway within the city limits, and it was moved by Councilman Welch and seconded by Councilman Sather that the City Clark be directed to write and ascertain d if the Department would accept cash instead of the paint. Motion declared carried. ORDINANCES AND RESOLV2IONS. �i t#i,rxAu+ q Councilmanic Apportionment. The Ordinance apportioning the councilman for the several wards, fixing time of election and terms of office of acid councilmen, which was introduced at the last regular :>vc� session of the Council and read in full for the first reading, was now taken up and it was k r°u°y`i r moved by Councilman Welch and seconded by Councilman Sather that the first reading be con- sidered the secondereading and that the third reading be by title only. Upon Roll Call, all six councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Third Reading and Passage'. The City Clerk then read the said ordinance by title :w asaF f, only for the third reading, whereupon it was moved by Councilman Sather and seconded by Councilman Welch that the said ordinance be put on final passage and that it do now pass. Upon Roll Call vote, all six councilmen present voted in the affirmative and mention was ^�hz declared carried: ,M4,u Copy' of Ordinance.
