Requisitions foriSupplies were presented, read, and disposed of as follows:
For the City Clerk's Department, to -wit:

It was moved by Councilman Sather and seconded by Councilman Smith that the

ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS.
New Apportionment of Councilmen.
An ordinance to re -apportion representation of the
councilmen from the several wards and entitled "An Ordinance apportioning the members of t'.
City Council of the City of Port Townsend to be elected for each ward, fixing the year of
election and term of office for each of said councilmen and repealing ordinances numbered
339, 365, 469, 598.and 730, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith" was presented and read in full for the first reading. There being no motion
to consider the proposed ordinance at this session, it automatically lays over to the next
regular session of the Council.
UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS.
Shod Bids Opened and Contract Let.
Pursuant to order of the Council and advertisement in the Port Townsend Leader, bids
filed with the City Clerk to furnish the city with 20 cords of 12-inch wood, were now open
ed and the bids submitted were found to be asrfollows:
Acme Fuel Co., By Dave Bartl................................ $5.60 per cord.
Charles Nelson .............................................. 6.95 per cord.
Axel Swanson ................................................ 5.35 per cord.
It was moved by Councilman Welch and seconded by Councilman Sather`<a that the bid of
Axel Swanson be accepted for wood as specified in the call for bids.
Motion declared carried.
Before opening the foregoing bids, it was moved by Councilman Nelch and seconded by
Councilman Lafferty that the bid of Axel Swanson, submitted this evening, be received.
Motion declared carried.
Delinquent Plater Accounts.
'fho subject of delinquent water accounts again came up
for considerable discussion but no specific action was proposed.
Dog Licenses.
For the information of the City Council, the Clerk presented figures
relative to dog licenses, showing that under the present ordinance, it cost the city the
sum of $81.62 to collect a total of $141.00, leaving the city but $59.38 net, r, -
overdraft to Purchase Bonds:
The Clarlc also informed the Council of the overdraft by
the City 'treasurer, on the Bond Redemption Fund - First Issue, of approximately 05000.00.
in order to redeem all of the outstanding bonds of said issue at a discount at this time
and while no specific motion was offered, it appeared to be the consensus of opinion that

the transaction continue to be shown on the records as an overdraft unless otherwise
Caps for Terrace Steps Railing.
Councilman Lammers brought to the attention of the Council the loss of eight caps fro
the railing on the terrace steps, apparently the work of hoodlums, and stated that he had
requested Mh: Green, Water Supt., to take stillson wrenches and screw on the reryaining cap
to a point where it would be impossible to remove them by hand.
It appearing that 8 caps were missing, it was moved by Councilman Welch and seconded
by Councilman Smith that the Water Supt, be authorized to purchase the eight caps required
and to add same to the requisition submitted at this session. Notion declared carried.
ADJOURNMENT.
Upon motion of Councilman Sather, seconded by Councilman Welch, Council voted to ad-
journ.
