From Norby Plumbing and Heating Co'. A communication from Norby Plumbing and Heating Co., relative to enforcement of the Plumbing Ordinance, was presented, and read, as follows: Port Townsend, Wash., May 1, 1934. To the Honorable Mayorand City Councilman, of Port Tovnsend, Washington. Gentlemen:- than ever. Again we wish to infa•m you that the Plumbing Ordinance is being violated more Local shops are doing work without a license, also doing work without taking out per- mits. Several so-called boot -leg plumbers are also doing a lot of work without the City receiving any revenue from it. The City has lost at least $100.00 (One Hundred Dollars) during the last year and a half, for the reasons stated above. Vie are paying license and taking out permits for all jobs; therefore we are entitled to the protection that we are paying for. When permits are not taken out the jobs are not inspected, and then the owners are no getting what they are supposed to be paying for. Itts up to you to take some action, or else change the ordinance. Sincerely yours, Norby Plumbing & Heating Co. By Karl H. Norby. The said communication was referred to the Committee on Police, Revenue and License, and the City Attorney. From Association of Washington Cities. A circular letter in the form of a convention Bulletin, containing the program and other information relating to the convention of the Association of Washington Cities, to be held in Seattle on May 3rd and 4th, was submitted by the City Clark and it was ordered that it be filed for reference.
