Permiasion is requested to build an addition to the restaurant building on our
property at Jefferson and Kearney Streets, the addition to be 12 x 14 feet in dimensions
and to cost approximately $100.00.

It was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Aubert that the said
permits be granted. Motion declared carried.
REQUISITIONS.
Requisitions for supplies for various departments of the City were presented, read,
and disposed of, as follows:
For the City Water Department, to -wit:
1 pencil sharpener; 1 doz pencils; Postage
Stamps; One Plash Light; Two shovels.
It was moved by Councilman Aubert and seconded
by Councilman Lammers that the said requisition be granted. Motion declared carried.
For the Street Department, to -wit:
1, 6-foot cross out saw; 1, new lock for garage.
It was moved by Councilman Laffer
and seconded by Councilman Aubert that the said requisition be granted. Motion declared
carried.
For the City Hall, Clerk's Office, to -wit:
4 Window shades, 42 inch by 7 feet - cloth only. (Good grade, $1.55; cheaper, $1.40 e
It was moved by Councilman Aubert and seconded by Councilman Lammers that the requi-
sition be granted for the better grade. Motion declared carried.
Brigham appointed Truck Driver.
Mayor Bangerter named Ralph Brigham as Truck Driver
for the Street Department, effective as of March 26th.
Hastings Ave. Water Pipe petition.
Mr. Woodworth, whose home is on Hastings Avenue
where city water is not available, was given the privilege of the floor, and again asked
the Council to help him to pipe water to his house ae he stated that he had lived there
for eight months and had to haul all water needed for domestic uses. He stated that if
the city had a supply of small iron pipe to furnish him with a water line, he and other
water users would furnish all labor to install it. Mayor Bangerter stated that it was
his belief that the City and County planning boards had the3SheridannSt.- Hastings Avenue
water main project under consideration as one of the work -relief projects for this County.
The matter was referred to the Slater Committee and the Finance Committee for consideration
ADJOURNMENT.
Upon motion of Councilman Lafferty, seconded by Councilman Smith, Council voted to
adjourn and motion was declared carried.

" In the matter of the claims of the Shell Oil
Company for Gasoline furnished the Current Expense Departments for the months of February
,� and March, payment of same being held up pending negotiations toward securing the Federal ! E

to the Company as instructed by the City Council, and had received the following letter in

In other words, all deliveries billed to C.W.A. had to be made to C.W.A. projects
on requisitions emenating from the proper C.W.A. authorities. We were not authorized to (j
bill any city or county at the Federal Govermment price.

price it would have been necessary for the city to have contacted the C.W.A. authorities C
who would have in turn issued requisitions if the work to be done came under their control. j
ms i' Inasmuch as all C.Iii work stopped on March 29th, we believe it would be impos-
sible now to do anything regarding a change in the price, q+

It appearing to the Council that the city could not se-
f cure the reduced price on the gasoline used on C.W.A. projects, it was moved by Councilman
a' Aubert and seconded by Councilman Lammers that the bills of the Shell Oil Company in the 4
amount of $130.91 for gasoline furnished the city for the months of February and March and
ti" F payable from the Current Expense fund, be allowed and that the Mayor and the City Clark be
authorized to draw warrants upon the said fund in payment of same. Upon a roll call vote

no reason why the city should remain in default, as long as the city is really solvent.

With further reference to the above bonds, we shall appreciate your advising us
whether ob not consideration has been given to the issuance of refunding bonds in exchange
r for the ones in default. If you still find it impossible to issue and sell the refunding
