Mayor Bangerter Arrives:
Mayor Bangerter arrived during the reading of the foregoin
resolution and thereafter presided during the session. Dcpu`y City Att,
ProposednOrdinance:
Deputy City Attorney W. J. Daly reported that he hadprapai:ed,
at the request of the aayor an emergency resolution to provide funds to take care of the
completion of the caretakerts cottage in the City Park. After some discussion as to the
legality and propriety of the introduction of the proposed ordinance, the whole matter was
referred to the Mayor and Finance Oommittee.
Adjournment:
Upon the motion by Councilman Lafferty, seconded by Councilman Aubert,
the Council adjourned,

THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Wash., met in regular session this 20t
day of March, 1934, at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Councilman Wm.
Lammers, Mayor pro tem presiding in the absence of Mayor Bangerter.
ROLL CALL.
Upon Roll Call there were present Deputy City Attorney W.'J. Daly, City
Clerk C. F. Christian, and Councilmen WM. Lammers, Sr., Jacob Miller, C..P. Aubart, and
Sam :McGee, Councilman W. B. Smith arriving later in the session.

The minutes of the regular session of March 6th were read
and approved as read.

following written report, to -wit:
Fort Townsend, Wash., March 20, 1934
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council
of the City of Port Townsend,
Gentlemen:
On Thursday, March 8, I personally delivered to Mr. P. J. Smythe, the Presi-
dent of the Golden Fine Distilling Company, at its office in the Empire Building, Seattle,
Washington, a copy of the resolution introduced at the council meeting of March 6 provi-
ding for the lease of the Hadlock-Irondale pipe line.
This resolution was in -exact form as presented to the City Council, all amount
days and dates having been left in blank. Mr. Smythe informed me that he would turn the
resolution over to counsel for the distilling company and if satisfied that the legal pha-
sea of the proposition were correct in form would later contact the City Council as to the
proposed terms thereof.

The report of the City Treasurer for the month of De-
cember, 1933, was presented, read, and referred to the Finance Committee.
Water Supt's February Report:
The report od the Water Superintendent for the month
of February, 1934, was presented, read, and referred to the Water Committee.

BUILDING PERMIT.

Gentlemen: -
Permission is hereby requested to build a five -room dwelling house on my prop
arty described as Block 84, Pettygrove's 2nd Addition, at an estimated cost of $500.00 for
materials.

It was moved by Councilman Miller and seconded by Councilman Smith that the said per-
mit be granted. Motion declared carried.

Plumbing Fixtures for Park Cottage.
Reporting verbally for the Finance Committee on
the cost of plumbing.fixtuees andcmaterials for the Park Cottage, Councilman Aubert stated
that he bad secured the following quotations:

The said quotations were for materials and fixtureu only and does not include
labor. The matter was left in the hands of the Committee.
