Port 'Townsend, Washington, March 6, 1934
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session the
6th day of March, 1934sat 7:30PP.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Councilman
William Lammers sr. presiding until the arrival of Mayor Bangerter.
ROLL CALL.
Upon Roll Call there were present Deputy City Attorney W. J. Daly,
Deputy City Clerk Dora 0. Christian and Councilmen W. S. Lafferty, Wm. Lammers Sr.,
Jacob Miller, C. P. Aubert and Sam McGee. COuneilman 17. B. Smith arriving during the read-
ing of the minutes.
MINUTES.
The minutes of the regular sessions of February 6, 1934, February
20,1934 and February 27, 1934 were read and approved as read.

It was moved by Councilman Aubert, seconded by Councilman Smith that the said claims
be approved and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the
proper funds in payment of the same: Upon Roll Call all six Councilmen present voted in
the affirmative and the motion was declared carried.

City Attorney: -
Deputy City Attorney 'llm. J. Daly reported that the Chief of Police
had been collecting licenses from licensees under Ordinance No. 1036, as amended by Ordin-
ance No. 1039, based upon 24/30's of one months license fee to take care of the period
from March first to March twenty fourth when the State Liquor Control Regulations take
force and effect.

I herewith nomiate and appoint C. F. Christian Jr, as a Deputy City Clerk
from this date, to act in my place and .stead, preforming such duties as Uity Clerk as may
be required of him in accordance with the Stautes of the State of Washington and the..Ord-
inances of the City of Port Townsend; save and except that he will probably be unable to
attend Council meetings and take minutes of the same as his work will.be largely advisory
and directory to my daughter Dora G. Christian whom I have also named as a Deputy City Cler 1.

'Hater and Drainage:
The report of the committee on water and drainage was presented
and read as follows: -

Gentlemen: -
Your committee on water and drainage to whom was referred the matter of
Water Supt. Report for the month of February,1934, would respectfully report 'as follows:

Said report was ordered filed.
Streets and Sewers:
Reporting verbally, Councilman Lafferty sported that then
sidewalk on Taylor and "F" Streets had not yet been repaired and Street Superintendent
gtahj,being present at the council, announced that it would be taken care of immediately.
dbUhdilman Lafferty also reported that the damage to thewater line of French Louie had
not been repaired and Water Superintendent Green, being present at the Council, announced
that the reason why the same had not been repaired was as follows: Thht ih-the,,cale in
of Washington Street the pipe was badly buried and just as soon as they could dig it up
and make a connection the water could be turned on.
