Work Report: The Work Report of the Water Supt. for the period ending February 6th was presented read and ordered filed._ Main Line Meter Readings: The report of the Water Supt. of the flow of water through the main line meter for the period ending February 5th was presented, read and ordered filed with reports of Committee. Water and Drainage: The report of the committee on water and drainage was presented and read as follows: - Port Townsend, Wash. February 6th, 1934. Mayor Bangerter Arrives: - At this time Mayor George Bangerter arrived and thereafter presided. Finance Committee: Councilman Aubert reported that owing to the necessary moving around conveyed upon the City Hall for Renovations, the City Treasurer had been unable to complete her December Report, BUILDING PERMITS• Application for Building permits were approved read and dis- posed of as follows:- C. Lr' -Regional Board- Chamber of Commerce:- A communication from the board of trustees of l' the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce was presented and read as follows: - Port Townsend, Wash. Feb. 5th, 1934 City Council, Gentlemen: - We urge your immediate attention and consideration of the request of C. A. McClure, Regional Advisor of the National Planning Board of the Public Works Administration, for the immediate creation of a City Planning Board. This matter was diccussed and outlined before a large group of Civic leaders here l Friday last and we are informed that every city in the state is immediately moving for. the completion of.this request in order to benefit from the engineering program facilities that are to be advised and directed by the state and regional organizations. We are requesting one of the members of the Board of Trustees of the Port Townsend ! Chamber to appear before your.body and further discuss the matter.. REQUISITIONS:,' For City Clerk: The City Clerk presented a requisition for the following articles:- 50 Plates for Trucks p 1 Bottle Paste 7 Staples Locks Lumbar for Shelves y ' It appearing to the Council that fifty license plates were not sufficient, it was moved by Councilman McGee, and seconded by Councilman Aubert, to purchase seventy-five plates. Motion declared carried. Amended requisition granted. It was moved by Councilor Townsend, and seconded by Councilman Lafferty to grant the amended requisition. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS: Depository Resolution!- Resolution designating the depositories for public funds of the City for the year 1934, were presented and read as follows: - RESOLUTION Resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, that the First American NATIONAL BANK OF PORT TOWNSEND and the NATIONAL BANK of COMMERCE of Seattle, be and the same are hereby designated as depositories for the deposit of public funds of the City of Port Townsend, Wasnington, for the year 1934. ? BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the City Treasurer.
