Gentlemen: I hereby am asking a special favor of your Honorable Body to extend the licens issued to me Ja. 20th for a dance at the Club De Villo, to some other date, as there was no admission charged on this license. The City Clerk submitted a requisition for 300 License Forms for Vehicle Licenses- conforming the the terms of Ordinance No. 1036. It was moved by Councilman Townsend and Seconded by Councilman Aubert that the requi- sition be granted. Motion declared carried. UNFINISHIM AND NE7! BUSINESS. Repairs to Jail. Councilman Aubert brought up the matter of the condition of the Cit Jail and suggested the use of Civil Works Administration men to the extent of filling the basement with gravel to bring the floor above the high tide mark. Councilman Townsend Informed the Council that they had so many vital projects now under way by CV1A workmen the few men'were�available for additional work, but hoped he could find time for the work. It was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Aubert that the matter be referred to the Police and License Committee and if they found that the work could be done by keeping the cost within the budget limit, that the committee be authorized to proceed with the work. Yotion declared carried. Attendance: Councilman McGee brought up the matter of attendance and non-attendance of the Councilmen and i-layor and stated that it was his belief that a report should be made and given to the newspaper so that the pAblic would be informed in the matter.
