The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port
Townsend, Wash., met in regular session the 2nd
day of January, 1934 at 7:30 o'clock P.M.,
in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, Coun-
cilman Wm. Lammers, Mayor pro tem, presiding
in the absence of Mayor Bangerter.
ROLL CALL
Upon Roll Call there were present Deputy City Attorney W. J. Daly, City Clerk C. F.
Christian, and Councilmen William Lammers,
Sr., Jacob Miller, C. P. Aubert, George F.
Townsend, Sam McGee, and VW. S. Lafferty;
Councilman W. B. Smith was absent because of
illness.

It was moved by Councilman
Aubert and seconded by Councilman Townsend, that
the said
claims be allowed and that the
Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon
the proper funds in payment of
same. Upon Roll Call, all six Councilmen present voted
in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.

City Engineer Sadler submitted the following report relative to !
the Concrete Stairway on the Taylor Street Terrace, to -wit: as follows:

Attached to this letter is Blue Print of Concrete Stairway for the Taylor Street
Terrace, together with the estimate.
This work was ordered by Your Honorable Body, December 19th, 1933.

City Engineer Sadler stated that plans and specifications for the Stairway had been
turned over to Dr. Kuhn of the Welfare Board, and City Clerk, C. F. Christian, loot reported
that he had prepared the Lotter of Application for funds as directed by the Council, y

This estimate was not included with the Concrete Stairway because I understand
from Dr. Kuhn, that there is not enough money available for the Stairway and Comfort Statio .
The building is of Concrete on account that it will probably if built, be built in Fire.
Zone #1. No other type of Building except Brick is allowed under the Ordinance.

tions for the proposed Water Works Project, to -wit: -

placement of The Distribution System. Each street is figured separately. Pipe Fittings, j[
Fire Hydrant Connections, Excavation & Hackfilling, Hauling Material on Job and Laying.Pipa.
C. These Estimates do not include Contractors Profit or Supervision & Engineering. The cost
of Material may vary a little depending upon the time the work is done.
^'ar, Working Drawings have been made of the work complete and the Tracings are on
+;r File in this office. Blue Prints can be made at any time. Awaiting further instructions.
