Lammers, Mayor pro tem, presiding in the absence of Mayor Bangerter. ROLL CALL Upon Roll Call there were present Deputy City Attorney W. J. Daly, City Clerk C. F. Christian, and Councilmen William Lammers, Sr., Jacob Miller, C. P. Aubert, George F. Townsend, Sam McGee, and VW. S. Lafferty; Councilman W. B. Smith was absent because of illness. Minutes Read and approved: The minutes of the regular session of December 19th, 1933, were read and approved, RA9i-Rp?dXAxR9i as read. BILLS AND CLAIMS. Rothschild Postage 1.66 Total ............................... 125.94 It was moved by Councilman Aubert and seconded by Councilman Townsend, that the said claims be allowed and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same. Upon Roll Call, all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. REPORTS OF OFFICERS. Salary Warrants Issued. I r 4' Concrete Stairway: City Engineer Sadler submitted the following report relative to ! the Concrete Stairway on the Taylor Street Terrace, to -wit: as follows: sw Port Townsend, Wash., December 30, 1933 ` To the Mayor & City Council Gentlemen; - Attached to this letter is Blue Print of Concrete Stairway for the Taylor Street Terrace, together with the estimate. This work was ordered by Your Honorable Body, December 19th, 1933. Z Y Yours very truly, W. J. Sadler, City Engineer City Engineer Sadler stated that plans and specifications for the Stairway had been turned over to Dr. Kuhn of the Welfare Board, and City Clerk, C. F. Christian, loot reported that he had prepared the Lotter of Application for funds as directed by the Council, y Comfort Station: City Engineer Sadler also submitted plans and details for the pro- r n posed Comfort Station as follows: It Port Townsend, Wash., December 29, 1933 nix To the Mayor & City Council Gentlemen: - I herewith Submit Plan and Details for Comfort Station as pop your request of j, December 19th. I' This estimate was not included with the Concrete Stairway because I understand from Dr. Kuhn, that there is not enough money available for the Stairway and Comfort Statio . The building is of Concrete on account that it will probably if built, be built in Fire. Zone #1. City Engineer Sadler next presented Plans with full Spec ifica- f tions for the proposed Water Works Project, to -wit: - Port Townsend, Wash., December 28, 1933 To the Mayor and City Council sr Gentlemen:- ' Pursuant to your request of December 19th, I have made an estimate of the Re- i placement of The Distribution System. Each street is figured separately. Pipe Fittings, j[ Fire Hydrant Connections, Excavation & Hackfilling, Hauling Material on Job and Laying.Pipa. C. These Estimates do not include Contractors Profit or Supervision & Engineering. The cost of Material may vary a little depending upon the time the work is done. ^'ar, Working Drawings have been made of the work complete and the Tracings are on +;r File in this office.
