Water Superintendent's Work Report: The work report of the City Water Supt.. for the period from October 18th to November 7th were presented, read and ordered filed. Street Supt. Work Report: The work report of Street Supt. Pollard for the period ending October 31st was pre- sented,read and ordered filed. Main Line Meter Readings: The reports of the City Water Supt. of the flow of water through the main line meter: for the period ending November 7th were presented, read and ordered filed. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES Finance and Claims: The Committee on Finance and Claims presented the following written report, to -wit: Port Townsend, Washington, Nov. 7, 1933 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Port Townsend. Gentlemen: Your Committee, on Finance and Claims to whom was referred the matter of Troasurerts Report for the month of September, 1933, would respectfully report as follows: We find same to agree with office balances. Fire and Light Committee on Monroe Street Light: The Committee on Fire and Light presented the following written report: Port Townsend, Wash., Nov. 7, 1933. To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of Port Townsend, Wash. Gentlemen: Your Committee to whom was referred the matter of the light at the intersection of Monroe and Roosevelt Streets, have, on investigation, found that the complainants are justified in asking that the light be shifted from the pole at the upper end of the inter- section to the pole at the lower end across the street, as there it would be more effec- tive and serve more people, the expense would be very little. JACOB MILLER C. P. AUBERT SAM McGEE It was moved by Councilman Aubert and seconded by Councilman Miller that the said report be adopted. Motion declared carried. Harbor and Health Committee: Councilman McGee, reporting verbally for the Harbor and Health Committee, stated that hbo.had had no complaints on the garbage situation. Broken Street Light: Councilman Aubert, reporting verbally, stated that the Managerof the electric light company had informed him that it was practically impossible to keep a street light burning on Discovery Road near the cemetery, as it was being continually broken soon after being replaced. Councilman McGee also reported that one of the lights on Water Street had not been burning for two nights. BUILDING PERMITS. Applications for building permits were presented, read and disposed of as follows: From Mrs. Rachel McCormick, to -wit: Port Townsend, Wash., November 2, 1933 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Wash. Gentlemen: Permission is requested to shingle my residence at 425 F. Street, Material to coat $35.00.
