M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Council- man William Lammers, Mayor Pro Tom, presiding until the arrival of Mayor Bangerter. ROLL CALL Upon roll call there were present Deputy City Attorney W. J. Daly, City Clerk C. F. Christian and Councilmed W. S. Lafferty, Wm. Lammers, Jacob Miller, C. P. Aubert, Coo. F. Townsend and Sam McGee. Mayor Bangerter and Councilman W. B. Smith arriving later in the session. MINUTES APPROVED The minutes of the regular session of August 15th were read and approved as read. Rothschild Supplies 2.10 Total . . . . . . . . . . $103.87 It was moved by Councilman Aubert and seconded by Councilman Smith that the said claims be allowed and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same. Upon roll call all seven Councilmen voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Unapproved Claim: The special claim of Goo. Willestoft for services as Patrolman in the amount of $18.69, during the illness of H. S. Weppner, regular Patrolman, was presented and read. It was moved by Councilman Townsend and seconded by Councilman Smith that the said claim be allowed and that a warrant be issued upon the proper fund in payment of same. Upon roll call Councilmen Smith, Lammers, Miller, Aubert, Townsend and Mouse voted in the affirmative and Councilman Lafferty in the negative. Motion declared carried. APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSES From P. D. Benson, to -wit: Application for license to sell beverages in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1026 was submitted by P. D. Benson, an follows: continued 463 + Name and Residence of Applicant: P. D: Benson, DeVillo Hotel, Port Townsend. �L Location for which License in desired: 643-645 Water Street. Name of the Owner of the Premises: P. D. Benson. Sind of License desired: Retill - to be consumed on the premises. 6 It was moved by Councilman Townsend and seconded by Councilman Smith that the said license be granted to date from September 15th. Upon roll call all seven Councilmen voted in favor thereof and motion was declared carried. MayorBangerter Arrives: Mayor Goo. Bangerter arrived at this time and thereafter presided. License for Mrs. Vera Currie: Mrs. Vera Currie to whom beverage license was granted for location on Taylor Street appeared before'the Council personally and asked to have the license transferred to a location in the Haller Building on Washington Street. The matter was referred to the Police and License Committee for consideration and report.
