Port Townsend, "ash., June 12, 1933
Mayor George Bangerter,
tttl7
Port Townsend, Wash.

Dear Mr. Bangerter:-
;
Last week I had a fellow bring me a load of wood from the country
;I
'
and in backing down, his car got away from him and missed by inches of going right over
the crows nest. In doing it tore the fence and wire all down. Sir. Baker of Baker and
Myers told me that it was the wire fence up that saved the truck from going over the bluff.
^
I thought that with your influence that it might be possible to have this fence repaired
I:
when you are having so mnny men working under that now relief schedule.
It is a regular street whebe it goes down over the crows nest and I use it all the
time going to and from my garage. "then there is a fence up it keeps the pedestrians fro
i
going close to the bluff.
do whatever is for me in this matter I am,
} y
Trusting that you will possible
Ii -
a
Respectfully yours,

Councilman Lafferty stated that the City had constructed the said fence many ,years
