LAMMSERS From Harry Hansen, to -wit: Port Townsend, Wash., January 16, 1933. Mr. C. F. Christian, City Clerk, Port Townsend, Wash. Under the provision of City Ordinance No. 772, as amended, I hereby bid $100.0 dollars for the hauling and disposing of all garbage and rubbish in the city of Port Town- send. In addition I wish to state that I will put the City Dump in a first class state of police and will use every effort on my part to keep it the same during the period of the contract. Harry Hansen It was moved by Councilman Townsend and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the -con- tract be awarded to F. H. Lammers, his proposal being the highest and best bid for the con- cession. Upon roll call Councilman Lammers was excused from voting. All of the other five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Gasoline Bids: This being also the date for opening and considering gasoline bide, the bids submitted by the Union Oil Co. of California, The Standard oil Co, of California, and the Shell Oil Co., being all of the bids submitted were opened and read to the Council,it appearing that the terms quoted were all similar. RECESS It was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Lafferty 'that the Coun- cil recess for a short period. Motion declared carried. COUNCIL RECONVENES AND ROLL CALL Council reconvened at 9:15 P. M. and upon roll call there were present Mayor George Sanger, City Attorney Jas. W. B. Scott, City Clerk C. F. Christian and Councilmen C. P. Aubert, Geo. F. Townsend, Samuel McGee, W. S. Lafferty, Wm. Lammers, Sr., and Jacob Miller. Gasoline Bids Continued: It was moved by Councilman Townsend and seconded by Councilman Aubert that the bids to furnish the city with gasoline be continued to the next session of the Council. Motion declared carried. i Gasoline Storage: The matter of storage facilities was referred to the Committee on Fire and Light. Chlorine Contract Accepted: Councilman Lammers, Chairman of the Committee on Water and Drainage, recommended the acceptance of the contract for supply of chlorine and moved, seconded by Councilman Laffer- ty, that the contract be so accepted; and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to sign and execute same. Upon roll call all six Councilmen present voted in the affirma- tive and motion was declared carried. Proposed Parking Ordinance: M'Ced Councilman Aatsarb, ^��^ of the Police and License Committee, made inquiry as to what disposition had been made on a petition presented to the Council sometime ago request- ing the Council to pass an ordinance setting a parking time limit. For the information of the Council, the City Clerk read the said petition and the matter was referred to the Polio and License and the Street Committees. Water Rights: Councilman 'Townsend brought up the matter of water rights referred to in Mr. Sadler's final report to the Council, and also the matter of small mans of the city. It was then moved by Councilman Townsend and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that all water filing be brought up to date. Motion declared carried, and the matter was referred to the Committee on Water and Drainage to be taken up with the City Attorney. No action was taken on the matter of the small maps referred to. The minutes of the regular session of January 17th, 1933, were read and after a minor correction were approved. Councilman Smith Arrives Councilman W. B. Smith arrived during the reading of the minutes -and took his chair in the Council.
