Fire Hydrant Report:
Report of Water Superintendent Green relative to fire hydrants was presented and read,
as follows:
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council Port Townsend, Washington, Janunry 17, 1933

Gentlemen:
The fire Hydrants were all gone over, and tested. And all of them found to be
in good working condition.

Resolution relative to the location of the Olympic Highway was submitted and read, as

follows:
Resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, a City of the third class
the State of Washington, that the State Legislature of the State of Washington, now in Ses
Sion, are hereby petitioned to amend the last clause of Section 8, Chapter 185, 1923 Laws

It was moved by Councilman Townsend and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that said Re-
solution be adopted. Upon roll call all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative a
motion was declared carried.

Gasoline Tax Resolution:
'
The Resolution adopted at a meeting of the Mayors of the cities of Washington was nex
presented and read, as follows:
At a meeting of the Mayors of the cities of Washington, held at the Olympic Hotel,
January 13th, 1933, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted:
"We recommend that the State Highway Laws be amended to provide that there
be allocated to the incorporated cities and towns in addition to the amount
now fixed by law for maintenance and construction of streets, lateral streets,
and/or lateral highways, an amount equal to three -fourths of a cent per
gallon of the gasoline tax money collected, such amount to be allocated so -
cording to population as shown by the last federal census, and be used by
such cities and towns for the purpose of construction, maintenance and repair
of streets, lateral streets, and/or lateral highways, and/or bridges, con-
necting directly or indirectly to the State Highway System.
