RESOLUTION CONFIRMING CANVASS.
A resolution confirming the foregoing statement of canvass and declaring the result
of the municipal election was submitted and read in full, as follows:
RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION.
WHEREAS: The election returns of the Municipal Election held in the City of Port Town-
send, on the 6th day of December, 1932, said date being the Tuesday after the first Monday
in December in said year 1932, for the election of persona to fill the offices of Mayor,
City Attorney, City Clerk, City Treasurer, Councilman at Large, Councilman for then:First
Ward, Councilman for the Second Ward and a Councilman for the Fourth Ward, have been duly
and regularly filed with the City Clerk of said City, and by him brought before the City
Council of said City;
AND WH REAS, The said election returns on this 20th day of December, 1932, at a regu-
meeting of the City Council of said City of Port Townsend, have been duly canvassed and
the attached statement of said canvass containing the whole number of votes cast at said
election, what office they are elected has been duly made and signed by the presiding of-
ficer of the City Council, to -wit: by 600rge Bangerter, and attested by C. F. Christian,
City Clerk and have been filed with said City Clerk;
AND WHEREAS, By said statement o6 canvass aforesaid, it appears: -
That for the office of Mayor, George uangerter has received a majority of the whole
number of votes cast, and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say, he
has received 516 votes out of a tot&1 of 784 cast for said office of Mayor;
That for the office of City Attorney, Jan. W. B. Scott has received a majority of the
whole number of votes cast and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say,
hehhas received 705 votes out of a total of 784 cant for the office of City Attorney;
That for the office of City Clerk, C. F. Christian has received a majority of the whol
number of votes cast and the highest number cast for any one person, that is to say, he
has received 716 votes out of a total of 784 cast for the office of City Clerk;
That for the office of City Treasurer, Harriett E. Dobbs has recetued a majority of th
whole number of votes cast and the hignest number cast for any one person that is t6 say,
she has received 722 votes out of a total of 784 cast for the office of City reasurer.

That for the office of Councilman at Large, C. P. Aubert has received a majority of t
whole number of votes cast and the hignest number cast for any one person, that is to say
he has received 708 votes out of a total of 784 cast for the office of Councilman at Large;
That for the office of Councilman for the Fir -at Wand, George F. Townsend has received
a majority of the whole number of votes cast and the highest number cast for any one per-
son, that is to say, he has received 45 votes out of a total of 105 cast for the office of
Councilman for the First Ward.
That for the office of Councilman for the Second Ward, Samuel McGee has received a ma-
jority of the whole number of votes cast and the highest number cast for any one person,
that is to say, he has received 134 votes out of a total of 154 satsaxcast for the office
of Councilman for the Second Ward;
That for the office of Councilman for the Fourth Ward, William Lammers, Sr., has recei.
ved a majority of thewhole number of voted cast and the hignest number cast for any one pe:
eon, that is to say, he has received 184 votes out of a total of 198 cast for the office
of Councilman for the Fourth Ward:
THEREFORE, By the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, on this 20th day of Decem•
ber, 1932, it is Resolved, Ordered, and Decreed;
That the said George Bangerter has been duly and regularly elected Mayor of the City
of Port Townsend;
That the said Jae. W. B. Scott has been duly and regularly &looted mity Attorney of th
City of Port Townsend;
That the said C. F. Christian has been duly and regularly elecyed City Clerk of the
City of Port Townsend;
That the said Harriett E. Dobbs has been duly and regularly elected City Treasurer of
the City of Port Townsend;
That the said C. P. Aubert has been duly and regularly elected Councilman at Large of
the City of Port Townsend;
That the laud George F. Townsend has been duly and regularly elected Councilman for th
First Ward of the City of Port Townsend;
That the said Samuel McGee has been duly and regularly elected Councilman for the Sec-
ond Ward of the CdLty of Port Townsend;
That the said Wm. Lammers. Sr., has been duly and regularly elected Councilman for the
Fourth Ward of the City of Port Townsend;
and that said persons and each of them are entitled to full bossession of, and to ex�-
ercSse the functions of said offices to which they are hereby declared respectively electe
at the time provided by laws of the State of Washington, upon qualifying as the law provid
It Is Further Resolved and Ordered, that this resolution be filed with the City Clerk
and a copy spread upon the r.&cords and minutes of this meeting.

Resolution adopted:
It was moved by Councilman Peach and seconded by Councilman Lam-
mers that the said resolution be adopted; Upon Roll Call vote, all seven Councilmen voted
in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
Adjournment.
Upon motion of Councilman Peach, seconded by Counciman Smith, Council
adjourned.
