Gentlemen: - In behalf of the Glendale Dairy, I request your Honorable Body to grant us per- mission to erect a boiler house. Construction to be of concrete and brick. Dimensions to be 25 ft. by 15 ft., approximately 9 feet high and will cost about $500.00. Your fa- vorable action in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Upon Roll Call, all four Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. UCO'. NICATIONS. J. M. THOMAS. Application for Lease from J. M. Thomas was presented and read, as fol- lows: Port Townsend, Wadhington, Oct. 21,1932 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Wash. Gentlemen: Application is hereby made for a renewal for one year of the lease of the south- erly ends of Cass and Calhoun Streets, between Water Street and Port Townsend Bay. I have paid the amount of the former rental,($4.00) to the City 'treasurer and trust you will grant this renewal. Respectfully yours, J. M. Thomas It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Miller that the said appli- cation be granted and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to execute the said lease. PORT TOA4iSEND LUMBER COMPANY, FOR LEASE. A communication from Port Townsend Lumber Co. requesting the use of a street, was presented and read, as follows: Port Townsend, Washington, Oct. 31, 1932 Proposal to the City Council. To the Honorable wayor and Councilmen of the City of Port Townsend. Motion declared carried. Booth Fisheries, Bankruptcy, The City Clark reported that he was in receipt of notice from the Referee in Bankruptcy, in the matter of Booth Fisheries Company, a bankrupt, to file proof of claim for water furnished the said company, with the Referee. The City Clerk was instructed to send for a few copies of the blank forma used for making such cla REQUISITION, FOR WOOD. The follovring hequisitlon for supplies was presented and read, to -wit: - Port Townsend, Wash., Nov. let, 1932 To the Mayor and City Council, Gentlemen: The following materials are required for the use of the City Hall Department: 10 cords wood, Roy Seavey. It was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that action on tl said requisition lay over to the next session of the Council. Motion declared carried. NEW BUSINESS. ROOF PAINTING BIDS. Pursuant to order of the Council and published notice for bids, th following proposal to paint the roof of the City Hall was presented and read, to -wit: Port Townsend, Wash., October 31, 1932 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Wash. Gentlemen: I herewith submit my proposal to paint the roof of the City Hall and to repair the chimneys, the city to furnish the paint and brushes, and I to furnish all rigging necessary to do the work, all as specified to me by Roy Seavey, for the sum of Thirty Dollars. S. J. Ask. Rejected: It visa moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Miller that th proposal be rejected because weather conditions made mt impractical to do the worg at this time. Motion declared carried. Tardiness of Councilmen. Councilman Lafferty brought up the matter of attendance of the members of the Council and protested about present conditions, claiming that it was unfair to the members who attended regularly and punctually, to be kept waiting long after the hour for convening in 'order to secure a quorum.
