(5)I 330 Port Townsend, Washington, September 27, 1932 The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular sessim this 27th day of September, 1932, at 8 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Councilman Wm. Lnmmers, Sr., Mayor pro tem, presiding until the arrival of Mayor Bangerter. ROLL CALL. Upon Roll Call there were present City Attorney Jas. W. B. Scott, City Clerk C.F.Chris- tiam, and Councilmen W. S. Lafferty, Wm. Lammere,Sr., Jacob Miller and E. M. Starrett. MINUTES READ AND APPROVED. The Minutes of the regular session of Sept. 13th, were read and approved as read. No session. A notation was also made that owing to lack of a quorum, no session was held on Sep . 20th. REPORTS OF OFFICERS. City 't!reasurer's Monthly Report. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of August, 1932, was presented, read, and referred to the Finance Committee. Main Line Meter headings. The report of the City Engineer showing the flow of water through the main line meters, was presented, read, and ordered filed. BUILDING PERMITS. Applications for Building Permits were presented, read, and disposed of as follows: From W. A. Brumond, to -wit: Port Townsend, Washington, Sept. 20, 1932 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Wash. �Oentlemen: Permission is requested to make general repairs to the dwelling house at 1025 Van Ness St., at an estimated cost of $50.00. E. Novotny Motion to Grant: It was moved by Councilman Miller and seconded by Councilman Laffe that the said permits be granted. Motion declared carried. Application to tear down buildings, By Claude E. Stevens. Mr. Claude E. Stevens submitted an application to tear down certain buildings which we read, as follows, 0-w Port Townsend, Wash., Sept. 26, 1932 To the Honorable Mayor and pty Council, Port Townsend, Wash. Gentlemen: Permission is requested to tear down all burned parts of the residence located at 1249 Blaine Street, and also to tear down the old barn at name location. Respectfully submitted, Claude E. Stevens. It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Starrett that the permi be granted. Motion declared carried. City Clerk's kept. The City Clerk submitted a requisition for the following work: Overhaul, Clean and adjust office typewriter. It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Starrett that the requi sition be granted. Motion declared carried. Mayor and Councilman Peach arrive Mayor George Bangerter and Councilman S. V. Peach arrived a a an tooke r respective chairs and thereafter took their respective parts in the Council proceedings. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS. Salary Ordinance for Elective Officers. After a private conference with the members of the Council, Mayor Bangerter submitted an Ordinance to fix the salaries of certain elective officers, for the ensuing two-year term and entitled r "An ordinance of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, fixing the Sala- ries of the City treasurer, City Clerk, and City Attorney, for the two-year term of office beginning on the fourth day of January, 1933." First Reading. The said ordinance was read in full by the City Clerk, for the first read n� Second and Third "eadings. It was then moved by Councilman Peach and seconded by Coun- oilmann mmere a t e reading be considered the second reading, and that the third reading be by title only. Upon Roll Call, all five Councilmen present voted in the affir mative and motion was declared carried. Third and gas-- sage: The City Clerk read the said ordinance by title only for the third reading and it was en moved by Councilman Peach and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that said ordinance do now pass. The following is a full, true and correct copy of the said ordinan as passed by the City Council Sept 27, 1932, approved by the Mayor Sept. 27, 1932, and pub- lished in the Pobt Townsend Leader Sept. 29, 1932, to -wit: ORDINANCE NO. 1018. An Ordinance of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, fixing the salaries of the City Treasurer, City Clerk, and City Attorney, for the two-year term of office beginning on the fourth day of January, 1933. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,W ASIINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the monthly salaries to be paid to the City Treasurer, City Clerk, and City Attorney, for the two-year term of office beginning on the fourth day of January, 1933 are hereby fixed as follows: The City Treasurer, the monthly salary in the sum of One Hun- dred Dollars ($100.00); the City Clerk, the monthly salary in the sum of One hundred ten T �.
