We feel every responsible citizen and taxpayer, business men in particular, will not
fail to aid us to maintain the city affairs on the present scale by supporting the busines
license measure offered. We have classified and assessed to the best of our ability.
May we call to your attention that more than twenty classes of business are now taxed
by licensing, including autos and uuto trucks for hire, auctioneers, bill posters, billiari
and pool tables, bowling alleys, circuses, carnivals, side shows, peddlers, solicitors,
dogs, temporary stores, theatres, traveling shows, dances, dance halls, dog and pony shows
shooting gallerias, junk dealers, second-hand dealers, pawnbrokers, plumbers and electri-
cians.

REPORT OF STANDING COUMITTEES.
Finance Committee on Trucks and Grader Insurance.
Reporting on the Insurance rates quoted for insuring city equipment, it was move)
by Councilman Starrett and seconded by Councilman Smith that the insurance be renewed with
the agents writing the insurance for last year, namely; George 'Belch to insure the Ford
Truck of the Water Department, and Col. H. M. Merriam to insure the Russell Grader and the
Chevrolet Dump Truck of the Street department, at the rates quoted and that the City Clerk
shall notify them to have these policies written to cover at once. Upon roll call, all
five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
ADJOURNMENT.
Upon motion of Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Starrett, Council adjourned.

The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session this
2nd day of August, 1932, at 8 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Coun-
cilman Wm. Lammers, Mayor pro tem. presiding until the arrival of Mayor Bangerter.
