From N. A. Klasell, Agent for McCollister & Campbell, lne., to -wit:
Seattle, Washington, July 18, 1932
Mr. N. A. Klasell,
Port Townsend, Wash.
Dear Sir: -
Referring to your request of the sixteenth, please be advised that the premium
rate on the equipment mentioned by you would be as follows:
1927 Russell motor patrol grader #3 - $1.15 per $100.00 on amount of insurance grants
Minimum premium - $5.00. 5/10000 public liability - $15.00
1929 Chevrolet dump body truck - fire rate - $1.95 per $100.00 of insurance granted
Minimum premium - $5.00. 5/10000 public liability - $15.00.
L929 Ford pick-up body truck - fire rate - $1.95 per 0100.00 of insurance granted.
Minimum premium - $5.00. 10/20000 public liability - $17.25.
We cannot specify the amount of insurance we would be willing to grant on this equip-
ment as we were not advised regarding the amount of purchase. As you undoubtedly realize,
the purchase price of the car depends upon the body and other equipment added to it, so
that we would not be willing to hazard any guess as to an amount to be covered until we
were furnished with the purchase price.
Trusting that you will be successful in securing this business, we are
Yours .very truly, McCollister & Campbell, Inc.

MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT.
In the absence of specific purchase price and purchase date upon the grader and two
trucks, it is necessary that we simply give you an arbitrary figure upon fire insurance.
The amount of insurance can easily be corrected by you in accordance with your ideas of the
present value of this equipment. The road grader is rated by using the tractor fire rate,
and the Carterpillar tractor liability rate, or light class 4 commercial. Ordinary com-
mercial rates will apply to the Chevrolet dump truck and to the 1929 Ford with the pick-up
body. We therefore figure the premium on this risk as follows:
Amt.Ins. Fire.Rate .,.Fire Prem. Liability
1927 Russell Motor Patrol $800. .75 6.00 $13.00 5/10000
1929 Chevrolet Dump Truck 350. 1.00 3.50 13.00 5/10000
1929 Ford Pick-up 300. 1.00 3.00 14.95 10/20000
