Upon Roll Call there were present City Attorney Jas. W. B. Scott, City Clerk C. F. tian and Councilmen Wm. Lammera,Sr., Jacob Millr, E. M. Starrett, Clark Aldrich, Y1s8x8a and W. S. Lafferty. Councilman Smith arrived later in the session. MINUTES READ AND APPROVED. The minutes of the regular session of July 5th were read and approved as read. REPORTS OF OFFICERS. CITY TREASURER - Report for June. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of June, 1932, was pros•,nted, read, and referred to the Finance Committee. CITY ATTORNEY.' Conniff Suit. City Attorney Scott reported that acting for the City, he had served answer on the plaintiff in the suit of Wm. J. Conniff vs, the City of Port Townsend for damages claimed. Salary Acceptance. In the matter of accepting a lower salary than spe:cifiod by Ordii nance, City Attorney Scott submitted the following written agreement, to -wit: Port Townsend, Washington, July 19th, 1932 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington. Gentlemen: - Re: Voluntary Agreement. That I, Jas. W. B. Scott, as City Attorney of the City of Port Townsend, State of Yrash ington, do hereby agree to accept the sum of $90.00 per month, as full compensation for all services that I may render as, such officer td said City, beginning with the first day of Ju ly, 1932 and ending on the 31st day of December, 1932, in lieu of the $100.00 per month con pensation as provided by City Ordinance; and hereby fully authorize and direct the Mayor an City Clerk to draw warrants from month to month for said period of time, for the sum of $90 - 00 Per month, and hereby waive any further claim or demand for any further compensation for said period of time; not deeming it an act contrary to public policy under the existing fi- nancial conditions of said City, to make this voluntary agreement as such City Attorney. Respectfully submitted, Jas. IV. B. Scott, City Attorney. It was ordered that said agreement be filed. CITY CLERK. Verbal Salary Acceptance. City Clerk Christian stated that he would accept a reductio of $15.00 per month from the amount specified by ordinance, for the remainder of the fiscal year and that he would file a written agreement to that effect at the next regular session. Councilman Smith arrives. Councilman W. B. Smith arrived at this time and thereafter took part in the council proceedings. CITY ENGINEER. Main Line Meters. The report of the City Engineer showing the flaw of water through the main line meters for the period ending July 19th, was presented, read, and ordered file . WATER SUPERINTENDENT. Bad Accounts. In compliance with order of the City Council, Plater Superintendent Gree submitted the following report: Port Townsend, Washington, July 19, 1932.
