(4)n (Fire Truck Lease continued) Pruck Corporation to extend the period on said lease agreement above referred to, be accep confirmed and ratified, to the 15th day of April, 1955, as the time of said lease agreemen to expire; and be it further RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of the city forthwith issue and execute a war- rant drawn on the proper funds of the City, in the sum of $1500.00, payable.to said Mack International Motor Truck Corporation, which they are hereby authorized and directed to do and that a certified copy be furnished the said Corporation, of this Resolution. Upon Roll Call, all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. UNFINISHED AND TOY BUSINESS. INSURANCE ON FIRE TRUCK. Additional proposals for insuring the City Fire Engine havinf been received, the matte ..as referred back to the Finance Committee for further consideration. ABOUT LICENSE COLLECTIONS. Councilman Starrett brought up the matter of uncollected licensee and requested infor- mation about instructions to the Chief of Police and Mayor Bangerter informed the Council that such instructions had been issued. RENTALS DRY DOCK WHARF, MADISON STREET: Councilman Starrett brought up the matter of unpaid rentals for lease of the foot of Madison Street and.duly moved, seconded by Councilmen Smith, that the City Clerk be in- structed to notify the holders of the franchise of the amount due and to bill them for sam . Motion declared carried. OUTSIDE TAPS. Councilman Starrett also brought up the matter of water tap= outside of the City Limit and requested that the Council be informed as to the number of taps outside of the City Limits and the approximate number of people taking water from such tape without payment for same. MRS. ALPHA BAKER APPOINTED WATER CLERK. Mayor Bangerter, at this time, appointed Mrs. Alpha Baker as clerk n e Water epar ment and some discussion followed as the the authority of the Mayor to make such appointment, but the Mayor declared that the appoint- ment would stand. SURVEY RIGHT OF WAY. City Attorney Scott again brought up the matter of having a survey an escr p on o at part of the pipe line right of way across lands now in liti gatton and it was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Smith that Uity- Engineer Sadler be instructed to make such survey. Motion declared carried. No hurry. Upon inquiry by Councilman Lafferty, City Attorney Scott stated that it was not an urgent matter that the work be done at once. FIRE TRUCK INSURANCE: Reporting on the matter of Insurance on the Fire Truck, it was moved by Gotuncilman MUM and seconded by Councilman Lammers to award the said Insur- ance to George Welch at the rate proposed and in the sum of $10,000, his proposal being considered the best bid. After a discussion in relation to interest soon due and payable on the eau a eneral Obligation bonds, it was moved by Councilman Starrett and seconded by Councilman Smith, that the City Attorney prepare a resolution or ordinance to provide for the issuance of two interest coupons for each bond outstanding. Upon roll call, all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was de- clared carried. MRS. BAKER'S SALARY CLAIM. Taking up the claim of Mrs. Alpha Baker for four days service as clerk n the water re partment, it was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Lammers that the claim be paid and that the.rate of payment be at $70.00 per month. Motion declared carried. FIRE TRUCK INSURANCE POLICY. It was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Cou - oilman S arre n e nsurance olicy submitted by Mr. Pragge, be returned upon receipt of policy from Mr. Welch. Upon Roll Call, all six Councilmen present voted in favor thereof and Motion was declared carried. ORDER WATER HYDRANTS. It was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Counculman Lafferty that the Water 5upt. be authorized to order three hydrants of a type recommended by the City Engineer. Motion declared carried. SIDEWALK. Councilman Starrett informed the Council that the owner of the frame buil- ding at lHe corner of Water and Quincy Ste, refused to repair the sidewalk because of lack of revenues from the building. Pragge had not been returned to him, as the Fire Truck would not have been dov.er«:; ed by insurance if the instructions of the Council had been complied with.
