Third Reeding and Passages
The City Clerk then road the ordinance by title only for the third reading. It was than moved by
Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that caid ordinance do now pass. Upon roll call all
five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.

Council October 6th, approved by the Mayor Ootobor 6th, and published in the Port Townsend Leader October

An Ordinance fixing and adopting the Budget for the City of Port Townsend, Washington, for the your 193 .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOTNSEND, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLI,OWSs
Section 1. That the following described budget be, and the same is hereby fixed and adopted for the
City of Port Townsend for the year 1932, for taxation purposes, divided in the total amounts in each of the
following classes comprising the whole of the budget, to -wits

Tax Levy Ordinances
An ordinance entitled "An Ordinance making and fixing the Tax Levy for the City of Port Townsend,
Washington, for taxes for the year 1932 was introduced and read in full for the first reading.
It wall moved by Councilman Lanners and seconded by Councilman Miller that the first reading be
considered the second reading, and that the third tending be by title only. Upon roll call all five Council
men present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.

Firsts For the payment of current expenses of said city and for the Current Expense Fund, the sum of
Eighteen Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty -throe and 50/100 Dollars ($18,663.50), and the rate of tax levy for
said fund is hereby fixed at eighteen (18) mills on the dollar.
Seconds For the payment of Interact on Bonds, First Issue, the sum of Tvro Thousand, Six Hundred Ninety
five and 00/100 Dollars ($2695.00), and the rate of tax levy for said purpose is hereby fixed at two and

Emergency Ordinance for Public Librarys
An ordinance declaring an emergency for the immediate appropriation and expenditure of $150.00 for
the public library was presented and read, as follows:
ORDINANCE No.
An Ordinance declaring an emergency for the immodiate appropriation and expenditure in the sum of One
Hundred and fifty dollars, for the Public Library, for additionalclerk hire to index the property of said
library, and the authority to issue emergency warrants therefor.
Whereas, it having been made to appear to the city oouncil that there exists an emergenoy for the im-'
modiste appropriation and expenditure in the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars for the Public Library,
for additional clerk hire to index the property of said library: and that such appropriation and expenditure
in said sum for said purpose could not have been ssontemplated and foreseen at the time of making up and adop•
ing the budget for the Public Library for the year 19311 Now, Therefore,
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, do ordain as followas
Section 1. That an emergency be and is hereby declared for the immediate appropriation and expenditure
in the sum of ono hundred and fifty dollars for the Public Library, for additional clerk hire to index the
property of said library, and that emergency warrants in said sum are hereby authorized to be issued.
Section 2. That this Ordinance be published once in the Port Townsend Loader, and to be in force and
take affect five days after such publication.

NEW BUSINESS
No Bids for Bonds:
The City Clerk stated that no bids for the proposed ro-funding bonds had boon received pursuant to
the call for bids to be opened October 6th. The matter of interest due January let and further action to be
take in relation to the said bonds was the subject of a general discussion, but no definite action wan taken.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion of Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Lafferty, Council adjourned.
