Pavi Committee: Councilman Starret, chairman of the special paving ocmmittee, reported that meetSngo had been held t t e oomeittm from the chamber of oommerco; that the paving matter had been canvassed with the property owners and that he could report progress. Building Committee: Catuoilman Lammers of the Building Committee, reporting on the application of the Buhler Motor ompany Tor a permit to move a frame building within the limits of the first fire zone, stated that the committee could not report favorably on the application because the permission requested was spe- cifically prohibited by the Building Ordinance. After some further discussion, the matter wan referred to the City Attorney. For the Fire Department, to -wits Piro Hose; ....................................... $410.00 It was moved by Councilmen Smith and seconded by Councilman Lammers that the requisition be granted. Upon roll call, all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared oarriddi: ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS Special Parking Ordinance. City Attorney Scott submitted a proposed ordinance on parking, stating that it had been prepared upon roquent and oozed that it be read. Ordinance read. The City Clerk then read the said proposed ordinance in full for the first reading, as follower ORDINANCE NO. An Ordinance of the City of Port Townsend regulating the parking of motor vehicles, in front of the lobb of the Central Hotel, on the Went side of Taylor Street, between Water and Front Streets, and in front of the American National Bank, on the East side of Taylor Street, between Water and Washington Streets, and providin a penalty for the violation thereof. The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, do ordain as follower Section 1. 'That it shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle, in front of the lobby of the Central Hotel, on the West aide of Taylor Street, between Water and Front Streets, on any day, for a longer continuou time than fifteen (15) minutes. Section 2. That it shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle, in front of the American National Bank, on the East aide of Taylor Street, between Water and Washington Streets, on any day except Sunday and holiday between the hours of 9 A.M., and four o'clock P.M., for a longer continuous time than fifteen (15) minutes. Section 3. Any person who shall Violateta»,ydof the provisions of this Ordinance, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine in any sum not to exceed Ten ($10. Dollars and coats. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be published once in the Port Townsend Leader, and to take Effect and be in force five days after such publication. Upon roll call, Councilmen Lafferty, Lammera, Starrett and Aldrich voted in the affirmative and Councilman Smith in the negative. Motion declared carried The City Clerk then read the said ordinance by title only for the thirddreading. Ordinance passed. It was then moved by Councilman Starrett and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the said ord nanoe be adopted. Upon roll call, Councilmen Lafferty, Lammers, Starrett and Aldrich voted in the affirmative and Councilman Smith in the negative. Motion declared carried. UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS. Coyne's Contract re: final payments City Attorney Scott brought up the matter of the final payment on Jae. H. Coyae'a contract and sta- ted that in view of the foot that nearly 30 days had elapsed since the completion of the contract had been
