uu'ther request that the street department be allowed to deliver a few loads of top Boil to the park, all

REQUISITIONS
The City Water Department presented the following requisition for supplies:
14 receipt books to be printed for 1932 $73.50
500 envelopes to be printed
260 Water Superintendent's reports to be printed
It was moved by Councilman Lemmors and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the said requisition be
granted. Motion declared carried.
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
A resolution designating certain banks is official depositories of the funds of the City was pre-
sented and read, as follows,
Resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, State of Washington, that She
First National Bank of Port Townsend and the American National Bank of Port Townsend, are
hereby designated as the depositories of the funds of said City for the year ending Decem-
ber 31st, 1931, as provided by.lawj and that the City Clerk is hereby directed to deliver
a copy of this resolution to the City Treasurer of acid City and both of said banks.

It was moved by Councilman Lafferty and seconded by Councilman Lammers that said resolution be
adopted. Upon roll call all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS
For the accommodation of a delegation of citizens present, it was agreed to take up the matter of

An Ordinance of the City.of Port Townsend, declaring an emergency for the immediate appropriation and
expenditure of money.. in the man of.$15,000.00 for the coat and expense of replacing pipe lines of the dis-
tributing system of the water works of said city, and the issuance of emergency warrants in the payment there
for.
WHEREAS, It appearing to the City Council that pipe lines of the distributing system of the water works
of the city have become. and are much deteriorated end decayed, more so than the city council have had full
knowledge, and that there is_J®inent danger, in case of fire in the use of the hydrants by the fire depart -
