Signature Cute 12.00 Total ............................ $249.48 It was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Lammers that the said olaime be allowed and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to execute warrants upon the proper funds in payment of name. Upon roll call all five Councilmen prosent voted in the affirmative and motion waaddeolared carried. $5,000.00 for Fire Truck: Counoilmnn Smith called the attention of the Council to the fact that $5,000.00 had been provided in the budget for payment on the Mack Fire Engine. Councilman Smith than moved, seconded by Councilman Laffai ty, that a total of $5,000.00 be paid on the purchase price of the Mack Fire Engine, no provided in the budge for 1931. Upon roll call all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion wee declared car- ried. REPORTS OF OFFICERS City Attorney Re: Title of Plans and. Specifications: A written report or communication with recommendations was submitted by City Attorney Scott and rea, no followes Port Townsend, Waah., April 7th, 1931. To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, of the City of Port Townsend, Wash. Gentlemen: I herewith submit a motion -of which I doom n000ecary to be acted upon by the council, for the cor- rection and amendment of Notice to Contractors, Instructions to Bidders, Proposal, Contract, Specifioatione, maps and profiles for the improvement of the "Olympic Gravity Water System" to conform to the provisiono of Ordinance No. 997, authorizing such improvement. Respectfully submitted, JAB. I.Y. B. SCOTT City Attorney. MOTION That the wording in the captions of "Notice to Contractors," "Ina#ruotions to Bidders," Proposals,". ""Contract," Specification and Plana," also all maps and profiles for the Improvement of the "Olympia Gravity Water System" and the body of such instruments be corrected and amended to conform to the provisions of Ordinance No. 997, authorizing such improvement, to -wit: 1. That the Notice to Contractors be corrected and amended, on the top of page 1, by striking out the words "Loop #1, Distribution System," and the insertion therein in lieu thereof the words "Improvement of the. 2. That the words in the second line on top of page 1, of said Notice to Contractors, "Loop #1" be stricken and the insertion therein in lieu thereof, the words "Improvement of". 3. That on the top of page 9, including "Proposals", the same be corrected and amended by striking out the words "Loop #1, Distribution System", and the insertion therein in lieu thereof the words "Improvement of.' 4. That the words in the fourth line of the top of page 9, "Loop #1, Dietribution System", and that the some be corrected and amended by striking said words, and the insertion therein in lisp thereof the words "the improvement of the Olympic Gravity Water System" as provided.by said Ordinance No. 997. S. That the wording of the caption of "Contract" on top of page 15, be corrected and amended by striking out the words "Loop 41, Distribution", and the insertion therein in lieu thereof the words "Improvement of the Olympic Gravity Water System". 6. That the wording of the caption "Specifications and Materials" be corrected and amended by striking 1. out the words "Loop #1, Distribution System", in the top of page26, and the insertion therein in lieu thereof the words "aprovement of". 7. That all maps and profiles to be used in the construction of such improvement, the captions thereon be and is hereby considered to be corrected and amended to comply with the provisions of said Ordinance No.997 8. That the endorsement of the words "Loop No.l, Distribution System", on the cover of all of said in- struments be corrected and amended by striking out said words, and the insertion thereon in lieu thereof the words "Improvement of the Olympic Gravity Water System, Ordinance No. 997". After eomo discussion, it was moved by Councilman Starrett and seconded by Councilmen Lammers that the City Council favor the City Attornoyss recommendations and pane the same. Upon roll call Councilmen Miller, Starrett and Lammers voted in the affirmative, and Councilman Smith and Lafferty in the negative. Motion declared carried. A communication from Harriett E. Dobbs, City Treasurer, was presented and read, as followas To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Port Townsend, Washington, April 2, 1931 Port Townsend, Rash. , Gentlemen: - This in to advise you that the money has been received from the State of Washington for the pur- chase of Inoue of $49,000 of Port Townsend General Indebtednoas 1931 Water Bonde and that the said amount has boon placed to the credit of the WATER BOND I14PROVEMENT FUND, in accordance with resolution adopted by the C1 Council March 3rd, 1931.
